Ep. 5 - Surviving the first month of 7th grade

How did Gabi do in her first month of 7th grade? This thoughtful conversation gives us a peek into just how lonely those first few weeks of middle school can feel, but how we can change our mindset to make the most of every situation. We giggle as she shares her awkward conversation stories with peers, and how she plans on making new friends as an introvert.  Got any awkward middle school memories? We'd love to hear them! "Are you REALLY hispanic?" It's the question we always get asked, but the question we answer with a resounding, "SI!!" We talk about Abuela's cooking, our favorite Puerto Rican dishes, music, and how we navigate learning as much as we can about who we are and truly honoring the rich beauty and history of our colorful heritage as Hispanics.  Leave us a comment and/or review and follow us for more conversations! Ep. 2 - The 1990's vs. NOW

I was Gabi's age in 1992, and now she's obsessed with the decade that gave us grunge, Leo DiCaprio in his prime, and plenty of fashion revivals. But, how much does she REALLY know about the era where I lived out my teenage years, and what advice do I have for my daughter? - Melissa  Leave a comment and/or review, and don't forget to follow & subscribe!
