    On this episode of YFA, we chat with Taylor Ramirez (guitar) and Eddie Cairns (bass/backing vox) from the San Pedro, CA punk/goth rock band Slaughterhouse. Both of them are fixtures in the South Bay punk scene. We talk about the history of South Bay punk in the early 2000s, the joys of using chorus on guitar, and how much ass Bad Brains kicks (hint: it's a lot).     Aartdina is a Vashon Island based singer-songwriter who goes under the name "Sour Girl". She writes powerful and personal indie-folk-sorta-punk tunes and performs two of them in this episode. Ian and Aartdina have played a lot of music together, as well!We talk about mental health, Elliott Smith, and finding purpose as a musician pursuing a separate career in this episode.
