helps get me through this current dystopian moment our country is going through. Sometimes, instead of a gummy, I’ll just have some wine and sit back and listen. For the length of each episode, I am taken back to simpler times when all I had to worry about was whodunit that night (or day) in Cabot Cove (or elsewhere).
I am one of those fans who prefer the earlier seasons to the later ones (from season 8 on) and I like the fact that these two fellow fans feel the same. The podcast meanders- but doesn’t all great conversations with friends? They could do a bit more research into the background of some of the supporting actors (I.e. Keith Michell who play’s Jessica’s suave sleuth in San Francisco was one of the foremost Shakespearean actors of his time) or that Angela gave jobs to a lot of her fellow movie actors from the 40s/50s - who at that point had fallen into obscurity - (Hurd Hatfield - the original Dorian Gray - Google it) so they could get work. Thank you, both of you, for providing respite during these absurd and dangerous times. I refuse to listen to political podcasts after 5:00 pm every day and make it a point of tuning into film/TV or other fun podcasts to escape. Cabot Cove Confab is right up there with my favorites. Kudos and now for another slice of Jessica’s Apple Pie!!!
