As I sat down to record this episode, I felt nervous and vulnerable - in a way that I rarely feel when I’m making episodes.  In this week’s episode, I share a big story about what it was like to grow up in this queer, female body in the culture of Utah. My yoga teacher and dear friend, Deanna Di Carlo.  I have been a devoted student of Dea’s from afar for many years, and this year an accident that left her severely injured, kept her grounded in Tulum for the season. Not only did I get the opportunity to step in and model for her in her annual January Yoga Challenge - but I also got to spend a ton of time with her getting to know her while we’re both here in town.  In this episode, we pull back the curtain on the January Challenge and share everything that happened behind the scenes. Dea shares with us how she adapted and pivoted after the injury, and how that has become a pattern of lessons that her guides have sent her in her life.
