What if the patterns we see in crime, mythology, tarot, artificial intelligence, and conspiracy theories are more connected than we realize? In this episode of Divulgence, I sit down with Christian Kenny, an independent researcher in occult philosophy and symbolic systems, and the creator of Killer Kards Tarot and AURORA (a crime fighting-centered system with great likeness to the movie Minority Report). We begin with Killer Kards and Christian's unusual approach to combining tarot, astrology, true crime, and criminal psychology. We discuss how notorious figures such as the Unabomber and Jeffrey Dahmer are matched to specific archetypes, the role of symbolism, and why Christian believes these systems are better understood as tools for understanding human behaviour rather than simple fortune-telling. From there, we dive into AURORA and pattern recognition, including the possibility of using archetypal systems to identify behavioural patterns and assist with investigations. Christian also explains his views on free will, human potential, and why sharing an archetype with a criminal doesn't mean you're destined to follow the same path.
