  1. Reckless A-Talk: Viditya Voleti - Game Designer (A Land Once Magic, Bloodbeam Badlands, Space Between Stars)

Reckless A-Talk: Viditya Voleti - Game Designer (A Land Once Magic, Bloodbeam Badlands, Space Between Stars)

Welcome to another episode of Reckless A-Talk, our TTRPG interview show where we sit down with some of our favorite writers, players, GMs, and streamers to get to know a little bit more about what makes them who they are. I am as always your host GM Nathan I use he/him pronouns, and this week we got to talk to the amazing game designer and artistic person in general Viditya Voleti. He is a game design educator who has been releasing games for several years now as both a prolific indie designer and freelancer for places like Paizo, Possum Creek Games, Evil Hat Productions, and tons more. He is also a very fun, funny, and thoughtful former art student whose preferred genre of game appears to be “all of them.” All this wrapped up into a really fascinating and inspirational and aspirational conversation about learning to fail, knowing who you are making games for, the concept of artistic studies in game design, and I think most crucially the attitude that when you make something, you’re always taking a step forward. His latest game, A Land Once Magic, is a worldbuilding deck and conversation piece that is crowdfunding right now. We have links to the crowdfunder and all the other things Viditya and I talk about in the show notes. As always if you enjoy this episode please go check out some of our other Reckless A-Talk interviews and maybe even our actual play episodes. Reckless A-Talk: Eli Hauschel (Mayday Roleplay) - Professional sound designer and editor, performer, designer

I am as always your host GM Nathan I use he/him pronouns, and this week we are joined by a really special guest who essentially excels at every aspect of TTRPG performance and production, Eli aka aghostofeli from Mayday Roleplay! Eli was an early connection we made in the TTRPG space, and immediately stood out for their abilities and instincts as a performer and professional sound designer editor. And over the years since, he has been a wonderful force for good in the space, further cementing my admiration of her. This is such a great episode, especially for those of us who are trying to balance our creative work with life, friendship, burnout, and the general weight of being. Eli and I chat about the editing process, collaboration, peer and community building, making your process sustainable, identity, and oh so much more. Eli is genuinely one of my favorite folks, and I think you’ll enjoy your time with her as much as I did. As always if you enjoy this episode please go check out some of our other Reckless A-Talk interviews and maybe even our actual play episodes. We have links to the things that Eli and I talk about in the show notes, including to the always excellent shows over at Mayday Roleplay and his game design work.
