    Forgive Yourself

Forgive YourselfCan we talk about the person you might be having the hardest time forgiving? You.Maybe you've forgiven the person who hurt you. But you haven't forgiven yourself. You're still thinking about the decision you made. The relationship you stayed in. The opportunity you missed. The thing you said. The thing you didn't say. The time you wasted. The signs you didn't recognize. And you keep replaying it."I should have known better.""I should have left sooner.""I should have seen it.""How could I have been so..."But let me ask you something. Did you know then what you know now? Probably not. Because if you had today's wisdom back then, you probably would have made different choices. But you didn't.You made the best decisions you could with the awareness, information, maturity, and understanding you had at that time.Does that mean you never made mistakes? No. We have to be honest. Sometimes we need to take responsibility. Sometimes we need to apologize. Sometimes we need to make something right. But responsibility and shame are not the same thing. You can say:"I made a mistake."without saying:"I am a mistake."You can learn from who you were without hating her. That woman needs compassion too.So this week, I want you to ask:What would change if I stopped punishing myself for something I've already learned from?Maybe it's time to give yourself permission to become. #forgiveness #brokentrust #forgive #betrayal #brokenheart #forgiveyourelf #anewyou #exposeit

    Forgiveness Without Pretending

Forgiveness Without PretendingI want to talk about forgiveness this week. But not the version of forgiveness where we pretend nothing happened. Not the version where someone hurts you and you're expected to smile and say, "It's okay."Because sometimes it wasn't okay. Sometimes it was deeply painful. Sometimes there were consequences. Sometimes there was no apology. Sometimes you never got the explanation you deserved. And yet...you're still carrying it.The anger. The disappointment. The conversation you wish you could have had.The apology you never received. The question of why.And maybe you're tired. Not because what happened didn't matter. But because carrying it is exhausting. That's where forgiveness can become something different.Forgiveness isn't saying: "It didn't matter."It can be saying: "It mattered. It hurt. But I'm not carrying it anymore."And here's something else I want you to hear: Forgiveness does not automatically mean reconciliation. It doesn't mean the person gets access to you again. It doesn't mean you remove every boundary. It doesn't mean you forget the lesson.Sometimes forgiveness simply means you release your right to keep rehearsing the offense. You release the resentment. You release the desire to make them pay emotionally for what they did. And you give that weight to God.So here's my question for you this week:What are you still carrying that you don't want to take into your next season?Maybe that's where forgiveness begins.#forgiveness #brokentrust #forgive #betrayal #brokenheart #anewyou #exposeit

    How Do You Trust Again?

How Do You Trust Again? What happens when you've trusted someone...and they broke that trust?Maybe they lied.Maybe they disappointed you.Maybe they said one thing and did another.Maybe you gave someone access to your heart, and they mishandled it.And now you find yourself thinking:"I don't trust people anymore."Maybe you don't even realize how much that experience changed you.You became more guarded. You question people's motives. You look for the other shoe to drop. You keep people at a distance. And part of you thinks that's wisdom. But I want you to ask yourself something: Is this discernment... or is this protection?Because there's a difference between learning from what happened and allowing what happened to control every relationship that comes after it.You don't have to become naïve again. You can have boundaries. You can take your time. You can watch someone's consistency. You can pay attention to patterns. You can listen to your intuition. You can pray. But you don't have to build a wall around your heart and call it healing. Sometimes healing means learning how to trust wisely again. And that includes learning to trust yourself. Because maybe one of the people you stopped trusting was you."How did I not see it?""Why did I stay?""Why did I believe them?"Beautiful, you know more now than you knew then. Let that matter. This week, I want you to think about the difference between walls and boundaries. Where have you built a wall because somebody hurt you?And what might it look like to replace that wall with wisdom?#brokentrust #disappointed #woundedheart #woundedsoul #anewyou #exposeit #learningtotrustagain
