EP 108: New year, healthier me!

What struggles did you face during 2021? Did you overcome them? Do you plan on leaving them behind while moving into the new year? Covid anxiety, imposter syndrome, hyperlipidemia, and weight loss are just a few things I struggled with in 2021. These are the things that we will discuss during this podcast episode with complete transparency. Naturally, as we progress into a new year, we reflect on our past and focus on our failures and struggles. We make resolutions, and promise ourselves that this year will be better than the last. I just want to remind you all that it's okay If you didn’t check off all the boxes, or accomplish all of your goals planned for 2021. Focus on your small wins and remember that every year promotes fresh goals and ideas. So, cheers to a new year and a healthier you!!!

EP 103: I’m a survivor. A story on how Elly Armah beat breast cancer.

By now, I’m sure that you all are aware that the month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness. With breast cancer being diagnosed more frequently in women than any other cancer, and carrying the second highest mortality rate after lung cancer; it is imperative that we talk about this disease in order to bring some insight and awareness to our community. The same breast that are used to nurture and feed our children, are the same breast leading to the mortality of so many women. Although women have a greater risk of developing breast cancer; men please know that you too can be diagnosed and affected by this disease. During this episode, we have a breast cancer survivor joining us to share her personal journey as to how she made remission her mission to survival. Like so many other women diagnosed with breast cancer, our guest simultaneously maintained her career, ran her household, and remained an active member within her community.
