    An Uninvited Guest: Five Mothers Speak Out

    Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, aka ROGD, is a phenomenon that has popped up in recent years as a study that was conducted by Dr. Lisa Littman at Brown University & released in 2018. Dr. Littman's study tracked the trend of small groups of girls spreading the idea that life would be easier if girls could identify as something other than their own sex. With the availability of puberty blockers & wrong sex hormones becoming easier to obtain, a psychological trend quickly became what most of us believe has become the largest medical scandal of our time. To further explain Dr. Littman's research, journalist Abigail Shrier expanded upon it in her book, Irreversible Damage that came out by summer 2020. By conducting a large number of interviews of girls & women to provide first-hand testimonies of how discomfort with their female bodies drove them to ingest wrong sex hormones & for some, permanent life-altering surgeries, Shrier's work helped influence a plethora of other projects & investigations that helped to create &/or inform a number of parent's support groups across America. ROGD began to spread to include boys & young males as well. It appears that with the dating apps now including anyone who identifies as 'non-binary' & 'gender fluid' along w/ a number of other conflations of sexualities, anyone can fall prey to this massive decades-long campaign to unmoor us all from our sexed bodies & become part of some new cult of seeking identity-over-sanity. Parents of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoric Kids (PROGDK) is the largest group that currently exists & acts as mainly an emotional support model. There are groups existing in almost every state & ones that focus only on sons & different ages of offspring. NOTE: Can I Get a Witness does not condone any support towards the idea that there is such a thing as 'trans' or 'transgender' so does not want to endorse any websites that platform individuals who claim a 'trans' identity. We believe this is not only contradictory but confuses the populace who is beginning to wake up to this 'gender craze', & they need the truth - not more gaslighting. The time of worrying about being 'nice' has got to be substituted with bravery & consistently holding the line of reality or we just keep enabling kids to slip into this bottomless trap of confusion & pain. We further believe that this desire to cling to this acceptance of a fictional identity is counterproductive towards the ultimate goal of abolishing pediatric gender clinics, & THAT is our main mission. As journalist Jennifer Bilek has stated, "Ask yourselves, if you had a movement to impress upon young people the harms of drinking and alcoholism, would you invite an alcoholic who was still drinking, and drunk, to speak to young people about the harms of drinking?"     Three Fathers Share Their Challenges Raising ROGD Kids

    Firstly, in the beginning, one of these fathers actually says, "there are some kids at an early early age you know, maybe were born in the wrong body". We'd like to make this very clear: His comment was left in this recording because unfortunately there are still people that actually believe that statement to be true. We believe this is just one pitfall that keeps holding back the stopping of the medicalization of children and youth. Listeners need to understand the mentality of a large number of people who have fallen into that mindset from a place of not wanting to appear bigoted - not wanting to 'hurt' the emotions of others. But the harsh reality is this: NO HUMAN IS BORN IN THE WRONG BODY. EVER. As was a common theme brought up between these fathers, the internet is mentioned as a primary source of influence on their kids. Although most parents are not aware of it though, their children more likely than not have become exposed to pornographic imagery and messaging because of it. It often is revealed through youtube influencers as was discussed some in this podcast.     Two American dads and one from the UK all share the challenges of raising children who are desperate to escape the bodies that they were born in all for a societal fad created by big money interests decades ago. ROGD is also known as Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, was coined by Brown University professor Lisa Littman. Journalist and author Abigail Shrier expanded on that research in her book, Irreversible Damage which has become the eye-opening primer for parents everywhere to gain understanding about the rapidity of seeing friend's circles of their daughters begin identifying as anything but their own sex. A film called DYSPHORIC by Indian born filmmaker Vaishnavi Sundar dramatically illustrates the very common feelings of young women growing up in the world and how we may want to escape femaleness. With the new craze of promoting that there is no such thing as any biological sex, many male children and youth have become attracted to also wanting to escape their bodies, but for very different reasons than girls.
