    Send us Fan Mail What does it really mean to hunger and thirst for righteousness? In this Lo-Fi Friday's Edition of Slow 2 Speak with Vooch, we explore the fourth Beatitude, where Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6). We know what it feels like to hunger for success, recognition, security, or a better life. But what would it look like to bring that same kind of desire to our relationship with God? As we wrestle with that question, I'll reflect on a season when my hunger for music and success shaped some of the choices I made. Producing my own album mattered enough that I gave away tickets to see my favorite artist. That same hunger kept me working extra hours in the studio and nearly caused me to miss the birth of my son. Looking back raises a deeper question: If we can hunger that intensely for the things we want in life, what would it look like to hunger that deeply for righteousness? Together, we'll consider righteousness not simply as something we talk about or occasionally do, but something we intentionally pursue and practice. We'll also examine the desires that compete for our attention and ask whether we've developed the same kind of appetite for the things of God. In this episode you'll discover: What it means to hunger and thirst for righteousness How our desires can reveal what matters most to us Why even good pursuits can become consuming What it means to intentionally practice righteousness How Jesus' promise of being filled challenges what we believe will truly satisfy us Maybe the question isn't whether we're hungry. Maybe the question is: What are we hungry for?
