We all need heroes of the faith. We are very fortunate to have met Pastor Bob Willhite early in our ministry many years ago. Pastor Willhite became both our mentor in prayer and hero of faith. Hisway School of Prayer is all about sharing this great man's teachings on the subject of prayer. These teachings radically impacted our lives and thousands of others throughout the U.S. and Internationally. You have probably never heard these principles of prayer anywhere else. Our goal throughout the episodes is to leave a Legacy of Prayer of this great man's teachings. They will encourage you, build your faith, and answer many of the questions you have had about prayer for a long time. Kathy and I will share some of those teaching in our episodes. One of the first principles that we learned from Pastor Bob was "If you have enough faith to pray...you have enough faith to move the hand of God" Sadly we add that B.J. Willhite passed on November 4, 2022.Season 2 is a continuation of Pastor Bob Willhite's Legacy with John & Kathy teaching his prayer principles as they introduce Light Time: The Walk After the Water, a part of the Hisway School of Prayer presented in a conversational manner that will help new Christians  start their new life with Jesus, as well as, offering words of encouragement to Christ followers.

TEACH US TO PRAY Part 12 - An Oasis for the Thirsty ... the Substance that Satisfies

Was this episode helpful? This Series is a continuation of Kathy and John's teaching on prayer that starts in Season One with the first 3 Episodes that began their Podcasting Journey. We encourage new believers and Christ followers to listen to their stories ... of John's hearing the voice of God for the first time during the Vietnam War; Kathy's challenge with thoughts of ending her life ... and God's supernatural intervention in both.            Imagine driving for hours through a dry, scorching desert. The sun is beating down. You are tired, thirsty, and looking for somewhere—anywhere—to find relief. Then, in the distance, you see something unexpected. Surrounded by beautiful green trees is a building with flowing water, waterfalls, shade, and groups of people sitting together. As you draw closer, you notice something about them: they seem peaceful. Refreshed. Happy to be there. And then you see the sign: WELCOME. COME BE REFRESHED. What if that is a picture of what every local church should be? In a spiritually dry, weary, hurting world, the church should be an oasis—a place where thirsty people encounter something they cannot manufacture for themselves. That “something” is the presence of God. Beautiful buildings cannot satisfy the soul. Great music alone cannot satisfy it. Programs, personalities, preaching styles, and activities cannot substitute for the presence of God. There is a substance that satisfies—and it is found when people encounter the living God. In this episode John is speaking at a prayer conference and he challenges new believers, Christ followers, pastors, church leaders to rediscover the importance of becoming people of prayer. When believers live authentic lives of following Jesus and begin praying for God's presence to fill their lives, families, and churches, something  change.      “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me” Jn 7:37 Pastor Bob Willhite's books and teachings are all about  "Calling America to Prayer ... One Family at a Time" Remember:  "If you have enough faith to pray, you have enough faith to move the hand of God!"    A Gentle Reminder:  Nothing changes until you pray.
