    Helene Jegado--French Serial Killer

    In today's episode, we discuss 48 year old Hélène Jégadom a French domestic  servant, Kleptomaniac and notorious serial killer who is believed to have murdered as many as 36 people using arsenic as her weapon of choice over a period of 18 years. After an initial period of activity, between 1833 and 1841, she seems to have stopped for nearly ten years before a final killing spree in 1851. For this episode, we will discuss her timeline, various killings, and criminal trial, ultimately resulting in her being sentenced to death by guillotine in 1852. Crimes committed:  5 November 1984 - Lyonelle Gineste - 17 years old - in Montauville - Accomplice Joseph Molins 28 September 1986 - Cyril Beining (8) and Alexandre Beckrich (8) - in Montigny-lès-Metz 29 December 1986 - Annick Maurice - 26 years old - in Ogy - Accomplice Philippe Élivon 22 June 1988 - Georgette Manesse (86) and Ghislaine Ponsard (61) - in Charleville-Mézières 5 April 1989 - Joris Viville - 9 years old - in Port-Grimaud  14 May 1989 - Aline Pérès - 49 years old - in Le Relecq-Kerhuon 18 July 1989 - Sylvie Rossi - 30 years old - in Villers-Allerand  7 May 1991 - Laurence Guillaume - 14 years old - Near Metz - Accomplice Michel Guillaume 5 January 1992 - Jean Rémy - 65 years old - in Boulogne-sur-Mer  Francis Heaulme was officially arrested on January 7th, 1992 for the murder of Aline Pérès.

    Today is episode 2 of The Backpack Killer, Francis Heaulme series , this individual was a notorious French Serial killer active from 84 to 92, convicted of killing 11 people and suspected of killing up to 50. As previously discussed in episode 1 was the murder of Aline Peres, a 49 yr old nurse and mother of 2 who was brutally murdered at Moulin Blanc beach, near Brest, in the north-west part of France, in broad daylight As we begin our discussing into episode 2, we will dive more into the details of his younger life transitioning into the Killing years. Additional Episode Details: Francis Heaulme was born in Metz and grew up in Briey.  His mother died of cancer on 16 October 1984. He interrogated Francis Heaulme in Reims.

    During our first episode, we discuss the details regarding the murder of Aline Pérès, a 49 year old nurse, and mother of 2 that was found on Sunday 14 May 1989 at Moulin Blanc beach just outside of Brest, France. She had been attacked from behind and stabbed in the heart. The murderer had then slit her throat. There seemed to be no motive and no witnesses.
