The hosts are knowledgeable on foreign policy of the ‘90s and early 2000s, but are still applying the politics of that timeframe, in a world where bipartisanship still existed, to an increasingly polarized political climate in which the U.S. is no longer a rational actor and has been compromised from within by several foreign actors, one of which both hosts pledge allegiance to unabashedly and with great prejudice. They are incapable of seeing the world as it currently stands, with the U.S. no longer the leader of the free world and hence they continue to analyze military movements from a rational lens of ‘90s political motivations and strategies. They do not seem to realize that the U.S. has fully broken from NATO and remains a signatory in name only, having become fully aligned with the goals and ambitions of BRICS. If this were WWII, the U.S. would be a member of the Axis, not the Allies. Yet, Elliot and Eric continue to analyze global politics from the lens of a post-WWII world order rather than the reality that so clearly presents itself today. They refuse to see that the U.S. and Israel are no longer aligned with post-WWII global frameworks and have become the world’s aggressors. Until the elderly analysts of this world take off their rose-colored glasses and recognize this, they will continue to fumble and get the analysis all wrong.
