Texas Stuns Ohio State, Oregon Gets Run Out of Stillwater | Week 2 Review — S6E8

Ohio State led 23-3 going into the fourth quarter and lost 24-23. Texas  scored 21 unanswered, took the AP No. 1 spot, and the Buckeyes dropped to  sixth without a single first-place vote. Mike Wade, Mark Franzen and Darren Steadman go through the entire Week 2  board: what actually went wrong in Austin, why Oregon's loss at Oklahoma  State was a total team failure and not just a coordinator problem, and  whether anybody at this desk deserves to feel good about being 2-0. Also in this episode: - Arch Manning threw for 195 yards with a 22-yard long — and Texas still    won it - The Jeremiah Smith problem: what does Ohio State do if he misses a month? - Oregon gave up 237 rushing yards and 39 points in Stillwater - Michigan beats Oklahoma 17-10 — 40 rushes to 23 passes, and DeBoer's    seat cools off - Alabama trailed 17-13 at Kentucky and outscored them 32-0 after the break - BYU handles Arizona and Darren's preseason take ages nicely - Mississippi State 38, Minnesota 13 — Kamario Taylor is about to get paid - Boise State and North Dakota State are in a tier by themselves in the G6 - Virginia Tech rolls ODU 44-21 and James Franklin has raised the floor - Tennessee 45, Georgia Tech 24 — and Georgia Tech might be a lemon - LSU wins by 31 while playing unfocused, plus a Princewill Nworje stat    nobody's talking about - Iowa wins the way Iowa wins: 16-13 on a last-second field goal - UVA, JMU and Norfolk State — the Virginia desk checks in QUICK SIX — Week 2 results and Week 3 questions: Will UTEP score a touchdown at Michigan? Which game puts up more points,  LSU-Ole Miss or SMU-Louisville? Does Oregon cover 21.5 against Portland  State? Will Texas still be AP No. 1 next week? Plus the Virginia Tech vs.  UVA scoring question. Vote with us in the Discord. Quick Six returns Tuesday night with the Week  3 preview and Punt or Go For It. Week 2 CFB Preview: LSU Top-3?, Bryce Underwood Benched?, 8-Leg Parlay

Is LSU a top-three team right now, even ranked eighth in the country? Mike Wade, Darren Steadman, and Mark Franzen open Week 2 with Punt or Go For It — five bold claims including LSU's case for the top three, whether Bryce Underwood gets benched at Michigan before October 1st, Dabo Swinney's job security at Clemson, whether Pete Golding is actually a good head coach at Ole Miss, and USC as the national title dark horse nobody's talking about. Then it's a full Week 2 preview and picks: Oregon at Oklahoma State, Oklahoma at Michigan, Ohio State at Texas, Arizona at BYU, Mississippi State at Minnesota, Arizona State at Texas A&M, Alabama at Kentucky, Cal at Syracuse, and Memphis at Boise State — plus homer picks on Tennessee-Georgia Tech, UVA, Virginia Tech, the Cy-Hawk rivalry (Iowa-Iowa State), and LSU-Louisiana Tech. The guys build an 8-leg parlay off their favorite lines from the week. Where do you land on LSU's ranking? Let us know in the comments or the Discord. LSU's New Era, Michigan's Close Call, and the Greatest Punt Ever (Week 1 Recap)

Week one was supposed to ease you in. It kicked the door down instead. Lane Kiffin's LSU debut was a 51-10 beatdown of an unranked Clemson team — Mike, Mark, and Darren dig into whether the Tigers just found a new gear or Clemson quit before kickoff. Virginia Tech's defense didn't just beat VMI, they smothered them to 83 total yards. Michigan needed a miracle Hail Mary to escape Western Michigan, and the guys break down why Bryce Underwood's stat line is more mirage than breakout. Plus: the greatest punt in college football history, Iowa's quarterback carousel, and a full slate of Sunday fireworks out of Ole Miss–Louisville, Boise State–Oregon, and more. Darren also grades last week's Quick Six picks and rolls out six brand-new questions for Week 2 — Michigan-Oklahoma, Oregon at Oklahoma State, Pitt-UCF, and a sneaky-good Mississippi State-Minnesota tilt. Play along in the Discord. Do you think LSU's defense is actually that good, or was Clemson just that bad? Let us know. 238 Days Later: Week 0 Picks, the Quick 6 Debut & a 16-to-1 Parlay

Two hundred thirty-eight days. That's how long it's been since a college football game meant anything — and Saturday it finally ends. Eight games, one day, and the biggest one on the board got yanked out of Rio de Janeiro and dropped in Charlottesville. Mike Wade, Darren Steadman, and Mark Franzen break down the entire Week 0 slate, debut a brand-new segment, and lock in the first Mike Blitz parlay of the 2026 season. The Quick 6 debuts. Darren's new six-question game — no sides, no totals, just the weird stuff around the matchups. Who starts at QB for Memphis when Charlie Huff won't tell anybody? Does Florida State cover after three quarters? Will USC play a second quarterback? And will the crew get visual confirmation of DJ Diesel — that's Shaquille O'Neal — anywhere in Charlottesville on Saturday? There's a prize on the line, and listeners can play along in the Discord. Picks and previews. UNC–TCU in a Dublin bog. North Dakota State's first-ever FBS game in the Fargodome. Memphis at UNLV, a game Mike is calling a CFP eliminator before September. Plus Darren's admitted heart-play against Florida State that nobody else would touch. Homer time: UVA vs. NC State. Bo Pribula, CJ Bailey, and whether the Hoos have the explosiveness to match a rebuilt offensive line. The parlay. Four legs, roughly 16-to-1. Linked in the Discord if you want to tail it.
