Hip-Hop Hidden Gems is all about celebrating the music that has shaped a generation (or two). The show, hosted by TheMoJoKing & Willie Freeman (AKA Vision) will focus on the artforms undervalued and underappreciated. Each episode will be dedicated to a song that didn't receive it's proper shine upon its initial release. Mo and Willie will revisit each track, and discuss its strengths and weaknesses. They also will provide interesting tidbits of information about the songs and the artists behind the music. For hardcore hip-hop fans HHHG will provide a sense of nastalgia. For more modest fans HHHG may be a chance to learn something new. But for all hip hop fans HHHG will be a celebration.     OutKast: Andre 3000

    From the outset, Outkast members Big Boi & Andre 3000, proved to be very talented artists. Still, it is doubtful that many who heard their debut album "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik" fully understood they were listening to future legends. Andre 3000 in particular is now considered one of the greatest MC's ever. With each Outkast release he seemed to change, to grow, to transcend into a superstar equally respected by the mainstream and the most stringently devoted Hip-Hop fans.     1 Jewel: 1 Verse - O.C. (Times Up)

    Hip-Hop Hidden Gems returns to break down one of the best of 90's, O.C.'s "Times Up". Although O.C. may not be a household name these days in the early 1990's he dropped an absolute classic. Times Up was, for many, the anthem of a hip-hop generation. This lyrical onslaught, combined with masterful production was a masterpiece. Times Up was a song dedicated to keeping the art of hip-hop real and honest. There was a battle going on for hip-hop's soul and O.C. used all of his talent to try to save it.     Hip-Hop Hidden Gems returns with a 1 Jewel: 1 Verse episode focuses on the Rhyme Animal himself, Public Enemy's front man Chuck D. P. E. will go down in the history books as one of the greatest bands in American history. They taught a generation to Fight the Power & to Bring The Noise. Hip-Hop music as a whole was the sound of rebellion, but few went at it harder than these legends. And now Willie and Mo remind us all of the power of The Rebel With Out A Pause.
