Iโ€™ve listened to a handful of health and well Edโ€™s podcasts! I am absolutely enjoying this one! Every podcast i am reminded about something that keeps me going or something that i need to steer clear of to keep pushing myself! Such common sense principles of losing weight and maintaining weight loss thought food found at your local grocery store! Spencer brings first-hand knowledge to fitness and wellness that I can take with me on my own wellness journey as an older woman. You donโ€™t have to be young to feel young!

Great info

I am enjoying the content and finding the suggestions to be spot on and evidence based. I would like to suggest that there is a defensive tone noted throughout especially when discussing cultural attitudes towards food and wellness and what mostly well intentioned people say. I experienced all those statements but I do not have that same reaction. Mostly people think itโ€™s a compliment to say โ€œtoo skinnyโ€ and then there are those unconsciously trying to sabotage the wellness of others they care about. Since I know that is where it comes from, it doesnโ€™t bother me much in fact it tells me something about them and then I can curate how much, if any, time I wish to spend around those people. I would like to hear more specifically about your experience with participation in menโ€™s physique competition as it is something I am considering. I do believe I am suffering from โ€œquitters attitudeโ€ especially when I hear about the โ€œtanningโ€ measures that are required and what you said about rice cakes and ketchup made me want to throw in the towel. Maybe you can have other guests on that can share their experiences with this competition? Iโ€™m binging every episode! Thank you. D. Malpica
