Mikki Gardner Coaching

What if midlife isn't a crisis… but an awakening? Led from Within is a podcast for women who feel the quiet (or not-so-quiet) pull that something in their life no longer fits — and are ready to discover what does. Hosted by Mikki Gardner, mother, bestselling author, certified life coach, somatic practitioner, spiritual healer and midlife woman, this show explores what it really means to reconnect with yourself in midlife. Through conversations on identity, relationships, nervous system regulation, and self-trust, Mikki guides women back to their own inner authority. If you've spent years showing up for everyone else — being the dependable one, the strong one, the one who holds it all together — this space is for you. Because midlife isn't about starting over. It's about coming home to yourself. Each episode will help you: * Rebuild trust with yourself and your intuition * Navigate identity shifts in midlife * Understand the emotional and physiological changes happening in your body * Create a life that actually feels aligned If you're ready to stop performing a life and start choosing one, follow Led from Within and begin living from your truth. It's Not Overstimulation, It's Under-Fulfillment

This time of year has a way of making many of us feel overstimulated, overwhelmed, and like we're constantly pouring ourselves into everyone else. But what if the real problem isn't that life is simply too busy? What if we're actually underfulfilled?  In this episode, I explore why so many women in midlife feel exhausted, disconnected, and tempted to check out through scrolling, binge-watching, or simply wishing they could escape. I share why these behaviors are often symptoms of something much deeper and how reconnecting with joy, purpose, and fulfillment can completely change the way we experience this season of life. I also share a personal story about choosing community and connection over perfection and why that simple decision reminded me what truly fills my soul.  My hope is that you'll begin making space for the things that restore your energy instead of only managing everyone else's needs. In this episode, you'll learn: I explain the difference between feeling overstimulated and being underfulfilled.  I share why midlife is an invitation to realign with who I am today.  I discuss how joy and fulfillment build the capacity to care for others.  I offer simple ways to reconnect with community, purpose, and personal happiness.  I challenge you to intentionally schedule something that truly lights you up.  If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear what brings you joy. Reach out at hello@mikkigardner.com or DM me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mikkigardner/ and share what you're adding to your life this week, and let's continue creating a midlife that feels aligned, meaningful, and truly alive. Falling from Grace (In Everyone's Eyes but My Own)

This episode is one of my most personal conversations yet. I've been navigating a season where life hasn't unfolded the way I expected, and it's challenged me to look honestly at how often I've handed my authority over to other people without even realizing it. As I've continued doing my own healing work, I've discovered that choosing myself, setting healthier boundaries, and living more authentically has created unexpected shifts in my relationships. While that process has been uncomfortable, it's also been deeply freeing. If you've ever worried that disappointing others means you're doing something wrong, I want this conversation to encourage you. Growth often disrupts old patterns, but that doesn't mean you're on the wrong path. My hope is that you'll find the courage to trust your own inner wisdom, embrace the discomfort that comes with change, and continue moving toward the life that's truly aligned with who you are. In this episode, you'll learn: Why I unknowingly outsourced my authority for years.  How personal growth changes relationship dynamics.  Why other people's disappointment doesn't define my choices.  The importance of boundaries, alignment, and inner authority.  Small daily practices that help me stay grounded during change.  If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. Reach out at hello@mikkigardner.com, or book a Clarity Call, and let's explore what your next step toward living more authentically could look like together. The Second Arrow

What if the biggest source of your suffering isn't what happened to you, but the story you've been telling yourself afterward? In this episode, I share a powerful conversation I had with my son on the golf course that became a profound reminder of how often we create unnecessary suffering by turning life's setbacks into judgments about ourselves. Drawing from the Buddhist teaching of the "second arrow," I explore how our thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations often hurt us far more than the original event itself. I also explain how this wisdom connects so deeply with midlife, when many of us begin questioning the lives we've built and wonder why they no longer feel aligned. I walk through practical tools I use with my clients, including thought downloads, honest self-appraisal, and separating facts from the stories we create. My hope is that you'll begin to recognize where you've been shooting yourself with unnecessary second arrows—and discover that you have far more power to create change than you may realize. In this episode, you'll learn: What the Buddhist teaching of the "second arrow" can teach us about suffering Why our thoughts often create more pain than our circumstances How to separate facts from the stories you tell yourself Practical tools for creating lasting change in midlife Why small, intentional shifts create powerful long-term transformation If you're ready to stop holding yourself back and begin creating a life that's truly aligned with who you are today, I'd love to help. You Don't Have to Leave to Come Home to Yourself

Midlife has taught me something I wish I had understood years ago: sometimes the problem isn't my relationship, my marriage, or the life I've built. Sometimes the real problem is that I've become disconnected from what I truly want. In this episode, I explore why so many women lose touch with their own desires after years of caring for everyone else and why reconnecting with ourselves is one of the most powerful things we can do. I talk about the beliefs that keep us feeling stuck, the guilt that often comes with wanting more, and how curiosity—not drastic action—is the first step toward creating a life that feels vibrant and authentic. Whether you're questioning your relationships, your purpose, or simply wondering why life feels different in midlife, I hope this conversation gives you permission to slow down, listen to yourself, and rediscover what truly matters. In this episode, you'll learn: Why so many women disconnect from their own wants and needs.  How unexamined beliefs keep us feeling stuck.  Why curiosity is more powerful than rushing into big decisions.  How midlife offers an opportunity to reconnect with who we really are.  Practical ways to begin honoring your own desires every day.  If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. Reach out at hello@mikkigardner.com, share what's coming up for you, and let's continue the conversation. You don't have to navigate this season alone. How Presence Can Transform Your Life in Midlife

I used to believe healing had to happen through huge breakthroughs, dramatic changes, or finding the perfect answer. But after stepping away from my everyday life for a week of deep personal work, I came home with a very different perspective. I discovered that lasting transformation isn't about changing everything overnight — it's about creating intentional space, embracing community, and committing to small, consistent shifts that build over time. In this episode, I share what I learned about presence, healing in relationship, taking responsibility for my response rather than my past, and why the "2-degree shift" may be one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting change. If you've been feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or like something inside you is asking for more, I hope this conversation reminds you that you don't have to figure it all out alone. In this episode, you'll learn: Why presence is one of the most powerful healing practices.  How community accelerates personal transformation.  Why I focus on responding instead of reliving the past.  How small, intentional 2-degree shifts create lasting change.  Practical ways to begin reconnecting with yourself today.  If you're ready to begin creating sustainable change in your own life, I'd love to support you. Reach out at hello@mikkigardner.com, and let's talk about what your next 2-degree shift could be. The Unglamorous Foundations That Are Actually Carrying Me Through Midlife

Midlife gets a bad reputation. We're often told it's a crisis, something to survive or push through. But what if it's actually an invitation to rebuild? In this episode, I share the unglamorous but powerful foundations that are helping me navigate midlife with more clarity, resilience, and peace. I open up about the daily habits and practices that have become non-negotiables in my life—from meditation and movement to nourishing my body, setting healthy boundaries, and doing the deeper internal healing work. None of these tools are flashy, but together they've helped me create a stronger foundation that supports the life I truly want. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about what's next, I hope this conversation reminds you that you don't need to blow up your life to create change. Sometimes the most meaningful transformation comes from strengthening the basics. In this episode, you'll learn: Why I see midlife as a construction zone, not a crisis How meditation has transformed the way I respond to life The role movement plays in emotional and physical well-being Why boundaries are essential for creating a healthier life How gratitude and joy help create lasting change If you're ready to build a stronger foundation for the next chapter of your life, I'd love to hear from you. The Either/Or Lie: Choosing Yourself Without Losing Everyone

If you've been feeling pulled between honoring your own needs and keeping everyone else happy, this episode is for you. In this deeply personal conversation, I share what I've been learning as I navigate major life changes, shifting relationships, stronger boundaries, and the uncomfortable reality that growth often makes other people uncomfortable. I open up about patterns of codependency, people-pleasing, and trying to control outcomes so that everyone around me feels okay — even when it comes at the expense of my own peace. Together, we'll explore why choosing yourself doesn't have to mean losing everyone you love, how the brain creates false either-or choices, and why personal growth often requires us to tolerate discomfort while staying rooted in truth, integrity, and self-awareness. In this episode, you'll learn: How codependency can quietly shape our relationships Why people-pleasing often comes from a desire to control outcomes The truth about boundaries and why others may resist them How to navigate identity shifts in midlife Simple practices that help build strength during difficult seasons Terri Cole's website: https://www.terricole.com/codependency-over-functioning/ If this conversation resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you.
