He Shipped Himself (George of the Jungle)
This week we're talking Brendan Frasier bod (and the sacrifices required for said bod) and other stuff related to 1997's George of the Jungle. There's zany hijinks and surprisingly dark and/or woke subtext. Join us on our romp through the urban jungle of San Francisco!
Next week we're doing a little detour into Valentine's Day content (maybe unexpected for us?) and taking a look at 1989's When Harry Met Sally.
Things we discussed:
Whatever Happy to Brendan Frasier?
Brendan and Leslie reunion
Zombie Ants

Kind of A Big Deal (2022 in Review)
We're back! This week we're reflecting on what we watched in 2022. Avery and Rosey both made lists of their favorites from the year (lists below). We also recorded our disappointments but had some technical difficulties. That list is also below. We also take a peek at what's coming in 2023 that we're excited about.
SPOILER ALERT for the shows on the "best of" lists below.
Next week we'll be talking about the 1997 George of the Jungle (Disney+) with the crushable Brendan Fraser and Leslie Mann.

Sponsored by Milk (Home Alone)
This week we're looking at the holiday hit, Home Alone. Avery's never seen it and Rosey's seen it many times so it's a fun look at the genius of the movie and all the parts that don't make sense. This movie is still pretty good and we also think it's a secret ad for milk.
We're taking some time off for the December times and we'll be back in January!

She's Hot, But I Love You (A History of the Sitcom)
This week Rosey is taking us on a whirlwind tour of the history of the sitcom!! Avery's eating it up, and you will too. From Lucy to Rachel, Rosey's got the deets. Next week we're covering the holiday MUST-SEE (which Avery has never seen) Home Alone.

Let Her Walk (A League of Their Own)
This week we're talking about the 1992 A League of Their Own. It's not perfect, but we're fairly impressed for 1992 (though we wish we'd made more progress by now). No real surprise, these women are badasses on and off the field. We're very into them and thanks to Penny Marshall for her energy to create and direct this movie.
P.S. Geena Davis and Tom Hanks are both 6 feet tall.
We're taking a week off for Thanksgiving, then we'll be back on November 30th to cover the history of the sitcom.
While you wait, we recommend you look up Land Acknowledgement and listen to our Thanksgiving episode from last year: I'll Take Her Sloppy Seconds.

Very Little Hunting (Good Will Hunting)
This week we're diving deep on Good Will Hunting and surprise! Julia's back again to help us tackle it! We've got thoughts on everything from Minnie's casting to the famous therapy scenes. In what we watched, Julia's jumping on the Tell Me Lies train, Avery's watching Spotlight to get yet more Boston nostalgia, and we also READ things (minor spoilers for Layla by Colleen Hoover).
