    Discernment

In Week 4 of our series “By This We Know,” we explore the biblical concept of discernment—the ability to recognize what is true and what is false, what is from God and what is not.  Through 1 John 2:18–28 and 1 John 4:1–6, we learn that discernment is not just a spiritual gift—it’s a necessary tool for every believer living in uncertain times. In this message, you’ll discover: What discernment really means and why it matters How to recognize false voices, teachings, and influences Why knowing the truth is essential to identifying deception The role of the Holy Spirit in guiding us into truth How abiding in Christ strengthens our ability to discern John reminds us clearly: Not everything we hear is true Not every voice is from God And not every message leads to life That’s why Scripture calls us to “test the spirits” and not be easily deceived. The key is simple, but powerful: To recognize what is false, you must know what is true. And the way we grow in truth is by abiding in Christ—remaining connected to Him through His Word, His Spirit, and community. This message will challenge you to deepen your foundation, strengthen your spiritual awareness, and walk with confidence in a world that often blurs the line between truth and error. Main Truth: We need discernment to know what is from God and what is not. #ByThisWeKnow #Discernment #TruthMatters #1John #SpiritualGrowth #KnowTheTruth #TestTheSpirits #FaithInAction #ChristianSermon #ChurchOnline #WalkWithJesus #HolySpirit #BiblicalTruth

    Easter - Light and Darkness

Easter reminds us of a powerful truth: You need light. In this Easter message, we look at 1 John 1:5–2:2 and discover that God does not call us to pretend, perform, or hide in the dark. He calls us to walk in the light. So many of us know what it feels like to stumble through life spiritually: trying to fix ourselves, trying to hide what is broken, trying to look okay on the outside while something feels off on the inside. But the good news of Easter is this: Jesus did not stay in the grave His sacrifice still has power His blood still cleanses His light still breaks through darkness 1 John tells us: “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” That means God is pure, holy, true, and completely good. And because Jesus is alive, we no longer have to live in hiding, shame, or confusion. This message explores three powerful truths: 1. Jesus brings cleansing in the light We do not clean ourselves up first. We come into the light, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 2. Jesus invites honest confession We do not have to fake it anymore. Confession is not about proving ourselves. It is about agreeing with God and receiving His forgiveness and restoration. 3. Jesus is our Advocate and atoning sacrifice We could never carry our own guilt or pay our own debt. But Jesus stands on our behalf, and through the cross and resurrection, He made a way for us to be forgiven and made new. Because of Easter: darkness has been defeated the door is open grace is available and life in Jesus is possible If you feel far from God, the answer is not trying harder. The answer is coming into the light. This is the message of Easter: Jesus is alive, and because He lives, we can walk in the light. #Easter2026 #WalkingInTheLight #YouNeedLight #EasterMessage #1John #JesusIsAlive #HeIsRisen #LightOfTheWorld #ChristianSermon #EasterSunday #ForgivenessInChrist #GraceOfGod #ChurchOnline #HopeInJesus #ResurrectionPower
