    Why are we the way that we are? Our childhood tendencies provide insight into our behaviors and particularly our toxic traits. We can either pity ourselves for the upbringings we had or we can make the choice to heal. Healing is an active process and is the only way for us to flourish. This episode debunks the myth that people-pleasing is "being nice," and focuses on the people-pleasing tendencies that most of us have. If we don't heal from what cut us, we will bleed on those who didn't hurt us. It is in our purest nature to be our happiest selves. We owe ourselves to grow out of a culture of people-pleasing and return home to ourselves.

Simply, because it hurts our ego. It hurts our sense of self. But it doesn't have to be that way. We've all heard that criticism is good for you, but it requires a shift in perspective. The good, the bad, the ugly criticism can be your fuel, it can be your motivator, it can be a confidence booster. Even the bad kind. It never goes away, so we might as well learn how to use it to our advantage.
