    399 - Your 20s Don't Matter

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew opens up about his first three and a half weeks on TRT — and why the real story isn't the testosterone, it's the reckoning it forced. He shares where he's at: 125mg a week plus 12.5mg of Enclomiphene to protect his fertility, bloods checked monthly under a doctor, weight swinging from 81.2 down to 79.3 as his body finds a new baseline. He's two weeks out from a half marathon and about five from Hyrox, grinding lactic-threshold intervals with Hang and 20-to-30-rep sessions with Uncle Pat, a coach staying with them from Bali. After six years of bulking, cutting and three contest preps, he admits he never actually loved bodybuilding — that 2020 was his best physique, and that the sport went against his own values while he was teaching people to have a better relationship with food. From there he unpacks the ideas he's chewing on: that TRT only makes doing the right thing feel easier, not automatic; that your ability to endure pain becomes your passion and your passion becomes your purpose; that more money doesn't make you abundant, it just hides how scarce you still are — the same way a better physique hides insecurity instead of fixing it. He tells the story of 2023, the year the business was in the red and he'd stopped talking to his parents, and how that was when Hang became his ride or die, willing to live under the bridge with him. He lands on the reframe that your 20s don't really matter — that your 30s is where life begins, pointing to Grant Cardone starting his career at 30. Not advice, he's careful to say, just his honest experience. Apply to work 1-on-1 with Andrew by: Instagram: theasiancoach Rising Tide: bit.ly/the-rising-tide

    398 - Why Everything in Life Is a Trade-Off

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew shares the lesson he pulled from a wild weekend — recorded live on week two of his TRT journey, with no real difference yet. He opens with the story: a Friday night gaming with the team at the Fortress LAN cafe, then edibles off a friend of a friend, and "we f****d around and we found out" — half a brownie, a nerd rope, and 24 hours greening out on the bathroom floor. Sitting at the toilet bowl asking "do I even need this?" becomes his way into the real subject: life moves in seasons, and everything worth having comes at a trade-off. He shares where he's at — around 30 days out from his first half marathon and 62 from Hyrox, grinding through his longest interval session yet (cramping at 15 of 20km), and two months off weed, which he realized had been a way of coping with low drive, now feeling clearer and more motivated. Andrew is candid that the business is in a genuinely hard season, and reflects on 2023, when he and Hang were 90K in debt, losing hair and waking up to cold sweats over the bills — and why he told her even then that they'd one day look back and call those the good times. What he didn't gain in financial success, he gained in a ride-or-die relationship and a team that would go on to tattoo "Achieve Championships" on their bodies. From there he breaks down the mindset: pain is the cost you pay for wisdom, failure is the cost you pay for success, and you'll be far happier once you make peace with the trade-off; a finite life is exactly what gives it meaning; you can't call a piece of glass bulletproof until it's been shot at, so a hard season is what proves the team; and you become high-value — "dangerous" — by learning to endure tough times instead of using them as an excuse. He contrasts obsessing over one rough month with a client fixating on a single daily weigh-in instead of the trend, recalls a seven-figure peer who measured his business "by the year, not the month," and closes on what's ahead — a new creative director, fresh ads, an AI dashboard, a relaunched free business group, and a "Behind the Business" interview series. 397 - Finding Your Purpose & Passion

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew shares his evolved take on finding your purpose and passion — the raw version of a YouTube video he's putting together, recorded live on day four of his TRT journey. He opens with a quick TRT update — second pin done, more drive, less resistance (he and Hang have been kinder and more connected, and instead of ordering delivery they walked to do groceries at 6am) — then gets into the real subject. Using Conor McGregor's fear-of-success arc and a conversation with his best friend Kevin (a former deadlift world-record holder who hates day trading but endures it anyway), he lands his definition: passion is for you, purpose is for others — and passion is the pain you're willing to endure, the sacrifices you make, not the thing that makes you jump out of bed. He backs it with a track session — five 120m sprints where his fifth and final rep came in 10% faster than his fourth, because unconsciously he knew it was the last — that's the power of the mind. From there he builds toward purpose: the Japanese concept of Ikigai, the idea that "the difference between a memory and a dream is the people you share it with," that you become successful by shifting from what the world can give you to what you can give the world, and that — while coaching Hang again — the best thing he can do for his team is be the best version of himself when no one's watching. He closes on the parts that hit hardest: all choices suck (you'll suffer either way, so pick the one that moves you forward), the arrival fallacy ("change happens now," not when the TRT kicks in or you leave the toxic job), the half-billionaire friend still searching for meaning, and the reminder that life isn't about having purpose — it's about finding it, so learn to enjoy today for what it is, not for what you hope it could be. 396 - Day 2 of TRT-Motivation, Burnout & The Hybrid Athlete Era

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew goes live on day two of his TRT journey — documenting it in real time alongside his shift into becoming a hybrid athlete. He opens up about the first injection: how overwhelming it was watching the vial arrive in the mail, calling his team on Slack from the bathroom while Hang administered it, and the strange feeling of "finally crossing a barrier" he's still processing. He shares the training picture — 33 days out from a half marathon, 66 from Hyrox, working with sprint coach Chris — and a brutal 12K interval session that taught him a lesson he keeps returning to: you think you can't, but you can — that's where you need a limit test. Two weeks back from Bali, he talks about doubling his vegetable/micronutrient intake, falling back in love with fitness for the first time in about six years (since lockdown 2020), and why bodybuilding's restriction — not the food itself — is what he resented. The back half turns philosophical: a reframe that burnout comes from not getting enough back and seeing no end in sight, not from doing too much; the blue Porsche on his wallpaper that he's deliberately delaying until the business clears a million a month and the team is taken care of — it's not about the car, it's about what it represents (his Thanos-at-the-end-of-Endgame metaphor); and a closing thread on desire and purpose — that $80K a month is life-changing money, everything past it is indulgence, and the only thing that pulls you up the next level is creating a meaning bigger than the milestone itself. 395 - We are moving Back Home

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew shares the next chapter: leaving the penthouse and moving back home — and the bigger story of repairing his relationship with his parents after three years of silence. He's candid about the decision: the penthouse runs ~$11,000 a month, the lease ends in July, and the property manager wanted to push rent from $2,500 to nearly $3,000 a week — meanwhile a full month in Bali cost the whole team around $11–15K, flights included. So he and Hang are moving back to the Western suburbs he's always considered home (right on the Maribyrnong River, a 100-square-metre balcony for their dogs Crunchy and Oatmeal). The deeper reason is family: after letting go of years of resentment ("a bag of rotten tomatoes you carry around"), he reconnected with his parents before Bali — and at dinner, halfway through the conversation, his dad raised his cup of tea and simply said he was sorry. His parents, now retired, want him home; his brother warned the old problems could resurface, so the plan is to stay only until they find the right place. Woven through it are the lessons he keeps circling: the arrival fallacy (waiting for TRT, the holiday, the empty slate — when "change happens now," and the Nike slogan was never "do it later"); that success is what you sacrifice, not what you gain; that pain is inevitable but suffering is a choice, and passion is simply the pain you're willing to endure; and that he reads very little because action teaches more than endless consumption. Six years to the month after starting Achieve Championship, he frames the move as going back to the source — choosing to look back glad he did things rather than settle for a bland, mediocre, "balanced" life. 394 - Why I'm starting TRT at the age of 32

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew gives a raw, real-time update on his TRT journey and the toughest season his business has hit — recorded live the morning of an appointment, before he had any of the answers. He walks through what he learned: his bloodwork came back in 24 hours showing 328 ng/dL, up from 216 after October's contest prep but still secondary hypogonadal and low-300s. He shares how the GP "had no idea what he was talking about" and the endocrinologist route meant a July wait and one injection every three months, so a buddy named Phil (an old friend of Ziz's, rejected by four clinics before approval) pointed him to a third-party TRT clinic instead. He gets into the fertility side — freezing sperm takes 2–3 months, so HCG is likely the play — and vents about a friend who kept telling him "don't do it, you don't need this," unpacking why unsolicited advice from people who haven't lived it is worthless: real support wants you to win, it doesn't impose its values on you. On the business, he's honest about the squeeze: the DM ads that once drove $250K months have dried up, the VSL funnel costs $40–45K/month in ad spend with days hitting $1,400, he's let go of a growth partner who was a longtime friend, and he's contemplating pulling paid ads to go all-in on organic content. The throughline — from low-T being normalized to 70% of Australians being overweight — is that normal isn't the same as healthy, time is the one resource you can't get back, and at 32 he's done waiting to perform at the level he knows he's capable of. 393 - Life on Hard Mode - Depression, Business & Motivation

In this episode of The Achievement Unlock Podcast, Andrew opens up about what the last year actually cost him — the gap between the highlight reel everyone sees and the year he spent quietly falling apart behind it. He shares the real numbers: last year the business did $1.5M and hit its first six-figure month in January after five years of grinding, but the 12 months since have meant bleeding through both personal and business savings, pivoting from fitness into personal development, launching a VSL funnel at $600–1,000/day just to learn it, and letting go of a close friend he'd brought on as a growth partner. He also reflects on dropping out of the bodybuilding competition he'd prepped for over a year — admitting that two weeks out, part of him wished he'd get injured just so it would end, and naming that for what it was. After the show his testosterone came back at 216 ng/dL, and the depression, brain fog, and zero drive that followed forced him to ask what he was really doing it all for. From there he breaks down the lessons: learning how to quit is how you win (the sunk-cost trap of the endless ladder), that no one makes peace with what success actually costs, that balance is a myth if you want to be elite, and — using his never-tuned M2 as the metaphor — why he's been "playing life on hard mode for no reason" out of fear of judgment. He closes on his next chapter: going all-in on content, starting TRT and documenting it honestly, three lives a week, and a spiritual journey to rebuild from the inside out.
