Power Session || What Spiritual Discipline Looks Like TODAY!

What does spiritual discipline really look like in today’s world? In this Power Session, King J explores the difference between Spiritual Performance and Spiritual Discipline, and challenges Kingdom Citizens to examine what God is truly looking for in our walk with Him. Using Matthew 6:1-18 as the foundation, we look at prayer, fasting, giving, motive, obedience, and the condition of the heart. This episode is not about disrespecting the spiritual practices of previous generations, nor is it about lowering the biblical standard. It is about understanding the Kingdom principles behind those practices and learning how to live them faithfully, simply, and consistently today. Spiritual discipline is not about performing Christianity well enough to earn God’s approval. It is about intentionally cultivating a life that remains connected, submitted, and responsive to Jesus Christ. In this session, we discuss: • Spiritual Performance vs. Spiritual Discipline • What God is really looking for • How to develop simple, sustainable spiritual practices • Prayer, Scripture, fasting, digital discipline, rest, and repentance • Consistency without condemnation • Honoring traditional spiritual practices without turning personal routines into universal requirements • Why spiritual fruit matters more than spiritual appearance Grace does not remove discipline, and discipline does not purchase salvation. Jesus Christ remains the center. Your spiritual discipline should help you walk with Jesus, not leave you terrified that Jesus is going to walk away from you. Always remember to be the BEST Kingdom Citizen that YOU can be and exercise YOUR RIGHT as a Kingdom Citizen. #KinglyDiscussionsPodcast #KDP357 #KingJLew #KingJLewis #PowerSession #SpiritualDiscipline #KingdomLiving #ChristianPodcast #Faith #JesusChrist

Power Session || Let’s Break Bread

Have you ever sat through Holy Communion and thought, “I’m not worthy enough to take this?" In this Power Session of the Kingly Discussions Podcast, KingJLew opens the Word of God to examine what Scripture actually teaches about approaching the Lord’s Table. Centered on 1 Corinthians 11:23-29, “Let’s Break Bread” explores self-examination, the meaning of receiving Communion “unworthily,” the Eucharist as thanksgiving, and why the focus of the Lord’s Supper must always return to Jesus Christ. We’ll also explore the powerful truth of Jesus Christ as our Advocate and the Propitiation for our sins, and challenge a common question among sincere believers: Does recognizing where you have fallen short mean you should run away from the table, or should biblical examination ultimately point you back toward Christ? This conversation is not about judging who should or should not receive Communion. It is about rightly dividing the Word of Truth, understanding the sacredness of the Lord’s Table, and remembering exactly who made the table possible. Communion is sacred. Sin is serious. Self-examination is necessary. But Jesus Christ remains sufficient. So pull up a chair, open your Bible, and let’s break bread. 📖 Primary Scripture: 1 Corinthians 11:23-29 KJV 📖 Supporting Scripture: 1 John 2:1-2 KJV Truth over Trends. Authenticity over Aesthetics. Scripture before Opinion. "Always remember to be the BEST Kingdom Citizen that YOU can be and exercise YOUR RIGHT as a Kingdom Citizen." #KinglyDiscussionsPodcast #KingJLew #KingJLewis #KDP357 #LetsBreakBread #PowerSession #HolyCommunion #Eucharist #KingdomCitizen

Power Session || It’s Not Like That For Real

In this Power Session, “It’s Not Like That For Real,” King J takes us into Psalm 37:1-7 and speaks directly to Kingdom Citizens navigating political unrest, economic uncertainty, cultural division, and a world where it can sometimes look like wickedness is winning. But what appears to be happening is not always the reality of what God has already established. Psalm 37 reminds us not to fret because of evildoers, not to become envious of those who appear to prosper through wickedness, and most importantly, not to allow what we see happening around us to change who God has called us to be. King J breaks down the Seven Keys of Staying Kingdom: Fret Not. Trust in the Lord. Do Good. Delight in the Lord. Commit Your Way to the Lord. Rest in the Lord. Wait Patiently for Him. This Power Session is a reminder to remain steadfast, vigilant, set apart, and committed to Jesus Christ, even when righteousness appears unpopular and compromise seems profitable. Because Kingdom Citizens cannot afford to switch sides simply because we misread the scoreboard. And Calvary gives us the ultimate proof. Friday looked like defeat, but Sunday exposed Friday’s illusion. God is still sovereign. Jesus Christ is still King. And no temporary circumstance can overturn an eternal Kingdom reality. So when life, politics, culture, or the economy has you looking around thinking the enemy has the upper hand, remember: It's Not Like That For Real "Always remember to be the BEST Kingdom Citizen that YOU can be and exercise YOUR RIGHT as a Kingdom Citizen."
