    New Beginnings

As we all know, in this world there is a lot of wrongdoing and evil going on. On a big scale, the leaders misuse their power and influence, but also among the ordinary people, in the families, organizations and communities, a lot of slander, injustice and gossip among a lot of other wrongs and sins. By right we all would be subject to eternal punishment, but praise the almighty Lord that in his mercy he offers forgiveness and new beginnings, if we humbly turn to him in repentance. For example the Israelites by the time of the judges, once more they had begun to disobey the LORD by worshiping idols, so they came into distress by being attacked by enemies. But then the Israelites cried out to the LORD as can be read in Judges 10. They had to bear the consequences of their unfaithfulness for a while. But since they humbly returned to the Lord in repentance, so the Lord offered them forgiveness and new beginnings. And God still offers that today. Everyone from any background is invited to turn to the Lord in prayer. Also John prepared the people before the ministry of Jesus by the message of God offering forgiveness and new beginnings, as already predicted by Zechariah, the father of John. Let's pray: Lord, we thank you for that wonderful good news, that you offer new beginnings. We humbly turn to you in repentance considering all the wrongdoing that we have been involved in and the evil we have contributed to. The Israelites by that time had to bear the consequences and so do we have to suffer at times from what we did wrong or from the wrongdoing of others. Yet ultimately you offer forgiveness of all sins, and you even offer eternal salvation. We put our trust in you. In your kingdom there will be no more evil, no more curse, no more bitterness at all, rather it will be the ultimate new beginning of pure justice, joy and peace. May you guide us throughout this life here on earth towards your heaven. May you in your grace prepare us and make us suitable, despite we do not deserve it. To you be praise and glory and honor forever. Amen.

    Finding Your Way

Have you ever wondered who will truly guide you through life’s uncertainties, not just for a season but forever? In a world full of shifting advice and changing circumstances, the Bible points to a guide who is unchanging and trustworthy for all generations. The psalmist is not just celebrating God’s protection over Jerusalem, but inviting you to trust that God’s guidance is not limited to the past. He is a guide for today, tomorrow, and every day after, for all that is to come. The stories of God’s faithfulness are meant to be shared with each generation, everyone is invited. You, too, can trust Him to lead you through every challenge and decision. But how does God lead you? The Lord has many ways to guide those who trust him, by his word and answers to prayers, the Lord may lead his followers via books and sermons, preachers or by the advice of well-intended trustworthy believers, and God also can talk in dreams or simply via life's circumstances. And in the words of Jesus e.g. when he says "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." Jesus is not just a guide - He is the Way itself. To know Jesus is to know the path to God, the truth about life, and the source of real, lasting hope. God’s promise to guide you is fulfilled in the person of Jesus. He is not only your eternal guide but the very path to God’s presence and peace. Your journey, your questions, and your future all find their answer in Christ. Today, you are invited to trust God as your guide, to follow Jesus as the Way, and to share this hope with others. When you do, you will discover a peace and direction that lasts forever. Let's pray: Lord, thank you for being my guide for here and for eternity. Help me to trust you each day and to follow You, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Lead me in your good paths, and let me share your hope with others, so that they as well may find the way towards your eternal kingdom of peace and joy that you have prepared for all who trust in you. To you be praise and glory and honor forever. Amen.
