Pigskin: Week 4 Recap, Coaching Controversy & Potential Realignment

Bowden & Korbin are back with their Week 4 recap — plus a few big off‑field storylines. Today’s show covers potential American Conference realignment, the Mike Locksley firing rumors, and recaps of USC at Oregon, Wisconsin at Penn State, and Iowa at Michigan. They open with the American Conference realignment buzz, where Miami (OH), James Madison, and UConn have reportedly approached the league about joining — with rumored buy‑in offers reaching $30 million. Next, the guys dive into Maryland’s rough performance this week. Rumors are swirling that head coach Mike Locksley has been fired, though nothing official has been released. Is moving on from Locksley the right call for the Terrapins? Then it’s on to the game recaps, starting with USC at Oregon. Ducks QB Dante Moore went down early, leaving the offense in the hands of Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola. Raiola settled in quickly and guided Oregon to a dominant win. Up next is Wisconsin at Penn State. In the preview, Bowden & Korbin expected Wisconsin to hang around before fading late — but instead, the Badgers looked legitimately strong and stole a huge road win in Happy Valley. To close out the show, they break down Iowa at Michigan. Bowden’s Hawkeyes came out on top, meaning Korbin had to honor their wager by wearing a Hawkeye hat. Both agreed it was an ugly, chaotic game with wild plays popping up out of nowhere. A great Week 4 show. ENJOY!

Pigskin: Week 3 Preview USC at Rutgers, Colorado at Northwestern, & Virginia Tech at Maryland

Bowden & Korbin are back with their Week 3 preview, and it’s a packed show. They break down USC at Rutgers, Colorado at Northwestern, and Virginia Tech at Maryland — plus a detour into the fan “riots” at Arkansas and a look ahead at Ohio State’s brutal five‑game stretch. They open with USC at Rutgers, where Bowden leans heavily toward Rutgers keeping this one competitive despite their rough start. Will Korbin agree, or does he expect the Trojans to take care of business? Next, the guys veer off topic to unpack the chaos at Arkansas, where Razorback fans — frustrated with the season’s early trajectory — are reportedly planning boycotts and staging wild protests. Then it’s back to the slate with Colorado at Northwestern. Colorado brings more flash and big‑play potential, but Northwestern owns the trenches. Will that trench dominance be enough to swing the game? After that, Bowden & Korbin dive into Virginia Tech at Maryland, a matchup with plenty of intrigue. The Hokies are led by new head coach James Franklin, making his return to the Big Ten. Maryland counters with QB Malik Washington, coming off an electric freshman season.Who walks away with the win? Finally, they close the show by looking ahead at Ohio State’s looming five‑week gauntlet from October 3rd to November 7th. After the Week 2 loss to Texas, the Buckeyes need to emerge from that stretch at least 4–1 to keep their playoff hopes alive. A fun, loaded Week 3 preview. ENJOY!!

Pigskin: Week 2 Recap, Reactions to Oregon & OSU Losses

Bowden & Korbin are back with their Week 2 recap, and it’s a loaded slate. They break down Oklahoma at Michigan, Oregon at Oklahoma State, Duke at Illinois, Iowa State at Iowa, and the headliner: Ohio State at Texas. They open with Oklahoma at Michigan, where the Wolverines delivered a defense‑first performance that stunned the Sooners — a result Korbin admits he never saw coming. Next, they dive into Oregon’s trip to Oklahoma State. The Ducks turned in a second straight underwhelming outing, and this time it cost them. After the loss, the guys debate whether Oregon still qualifies as a legitimate playoff dark horse. Then it’s on to Duke at Illinois, a matchup defined by strong passing attacks on both sides. Duke ultimately separated by controlling the run game. Bowden & Korbin ask the big question: can the Illini regroup and repair their ground game? After that, they tackle the CyHawk rivalry, which once again delivered a messy, low‑spark contest. Coming off an impressive Week 1 win over Northern Illinois, many expected Iowa to roll — but instead, the game came down to a third straight year of a game‑winning field goal. The guys discuss whether the Hawkeyes should keep the quarterback battle alive heading into Week 3. Finally, they break down the game of the week: Ohio State vs Texas. The Buckeyes dominated for three quarters before Texas erupted for 21 unanswered points in the fourth to steal the win. Ohio State’s late missed field goal looms large, another clutch moment that slipped away and likely would’ve sealed the game. This Week 2 recap is absolutely packed. You don’t want to miss it. ENJOY!

Pigskin: Week 2 Preview, Oklahoma at Michigan, Duke at Illinois, Iowa St at Iowa, & OSU at Texas

Bowden & Korbin are back with another episode of B1G Talk Pigskin! This week, they’re breaking down the Week 2 slate, featuring four massive matchups: Oklahoma at Michigan, Duke at Illinois, Iowa State at Iowa, and Ohio State at Texas. They open the show with Oklahoma at Michigan. After the Wolverines’ major down week, how will they respond against the Sooners? And the big question everyone wants answered—does Korbin think his own team moves to 2–0? Next, Bowden & Korbin dive into Duke at Illinois. Both programs have been reshaped and redefined since last season. Illinois has strung together some strong years—can they keep it rolling with a new cast? Or will the 2025 ACC Champs, Duke, walk into Champaign and steal a win? Then it’s on to Iowa State heading to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes. Iowa still appears to have a lingering quarterback battle, despite rumors that it’s been settled. Will that competition push the Hawkeyes to stay sharp, or does it give Iowa State an edge knowing neither QB is a locked‑in starter? To close out the show, the guys break down Ohio State traveling to Texas—undeniably the game of the week. Both teams are CFP contenders and conference title favorites. Can the Longhorns take down the Buckeyes and make their case as the best team in the country? It’s a loaded Week 2 preview with a ton of great games. Don’t miss this one. ENJOY!
