The ADHD Entrepreneur Way

Sarah Joyce Hindle

This is the podcast for the differently wired "weirdos" who are often ADHD'ers, neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled, caring for ageing parents, sometimes the black sheep and for anyone whose goals are so ridiculous they prefer to keep them to themselves. Welcome to The ADHD Entrepreneur Way. Raw. Brave. A bit embarrassing. Mostly, relatable. What this podcast is: Your missing piece, forward motion and self-belief pep talks in your ears each week. The knowing that done is better than perfect - If I can do it, so can you. Proof that there is more than one way to build your empire. More than one dream. More, just more. And it's ok to want that and to strive for it. What to expect: Radical ideas. Delusional goals. Bigger picture thinking. Challenging the status quo. The confidence to build a business that works WITH your ADHD brain, not against it. Who Am I? I'm Sarah. Six years into helping entrepreneurs build confidence, find the right strategy, and expand beyond what they thought possible. I've been running various businesses since I was 18; from in-person services and Amazon drop-shipping and all in-between. I've overcome depression, anxiety, undiagnosed PND, had cancer cut out of my face, and manage a variety of health issues, as well as late-diagnosed ADHD. This isn't a sob story and it isn't "you need the bad before the good" bullsh*t. I actually have it very good and that is the flex I know it is. Because I choose to see the bad stuff as growth. If you want to feel into those thoughts, vibe with my ridiculous beliefs, and get on board with The ADHD Entrepreneur Way, follow the podcast so you don't miss an episode. Running A Business With Chronic Illness

"My body has cancelled on me more times than any client ever has."  What happens when you've planned the week, booked the calls, mapped out the podcast — and then your body has other ideas? In this episode of The ADHD Entrepreneur Way, I'm talking about running a business alongside chronic illness and ADHD, and why "just push through" isn't the answer. I recorded this in September, Chiari Malformation Awareness Month. I share what living with Chiari is like for me, how a flare wiped out my recording week, and the guilt that showed up when I had to move clients and let the podcast wait. The clients were fine. The rest was harder to give myself permission for. In this episode: Why the "push through" message can leave chronically ill and neurodivergent business owners feeling ashamed, not supported. Treating your energy as finite — and designing work that can bend instead of break when a flare hits. My "if this, then that" approach to bad days, including setting expectations with clients and building room into delivery times. Why I aim to raise the baseline of difficult days, rather than chase an impossible run of 10/10 days. The week Chiari stopped me recording, and what it taught me about rest as part of the strategy. Try this: Before the next difficult week, ask: What needs to keep running, what can move, and what can I tell people in advance? Make a small bad-day plan while you have the capacity to think one through. You're allowed to recalibrate. Come and talk to me: The Inner Circle is where we keep having these conversations about building a business when life and your body don't follow a neat schedule: https://sjh.app/inner_circle Instagram: @sarahjoycehindle Podcast enquiries: Podcast@sarahjoycehindle.com Episode moments 00:00 — Your body cancelling doesn't mean you've failed 00:23 — Chiari Malformation Awareness Month and my experience 02:09 — The trap of "just push through" 04:06 — Build a business that bends instead of breaks 05:54 — Bad-day plans and managing client expectations 06:25 — Raising the baseline, not chasing a 10/10 day 09:13 — The flare that derailed my recording week 10:30 — Rest as a strategy, not a failure 12:03 — Permission to pause, recalibrate and work differently Sarah is sharing her lived experience, not offering medical advice. #TheADHDEntrepreneurWay #ChronicIllnessAndBusiness #ADHDEntrepreneur #ChiariMalformation #NeurodivergentBusiness

Is It Embarrassing, Or Is It Relatable?

"Is it embarrassing, or is it relatable? You tell me." This is the podcast for the differently wired "weirdos" — often ADHD'ers, neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled, caring for ageing parents, sometimes the black sheep — and for anyone whose goals are so ridiculous they prefer to keep them to themselves. Welcome to The ADHD Entrepreneur Way. Raw. Brave. A bit embarrassing. Mostly, relatable. In this episode: • Why I opted out of the hustle–grind–burnout–repeat cycle — and why you're allowed to as well. • How the dinner-table conversations we overheard as kids ("work is hard", "I don't want to go back on Monday") quietly became our beliefs. • How capping your belief caps your income — my version: at 24, "coasting" until 65 because I thought that was it. • The mindset I live by now: being so delusional you believe you can have everything you want. • The rock-bottom year (2018) and the day I decided to let myself dream again. •And the long-term dream I've never said out loud.  Try this: Write down what you'd go after if you truly believed you could have it. Then notice where you flinched. 🎁 Listening in September 2026? There's a launch giveaway with some big prizes — get involved: https://sjh.app/podcast-giveaway 💫 Listening later? Whitneys contact links have since stopped working. Joanna Rawbone had always known that she was different from peers, friends and family and in her 30s she discovered how; she was an introvert. Over more than 3 decades working as a trainer and consultant with thousands of international clients, Joanna noticed how the bias in favour of extraversion within organisations negatively impacted employee engagement, retention and productivity as well as the wellbeing of employees. Thus began a mission. Through her business Flourishing Introverts, she champions the cause of introverts. She states that once introverts own and play to their strengths, anything is possible!
