Do you want to be more focused? You want to be more productive? You want to grow? Here's the deal. The inside of you has been holding onto wounds from your past. These wounds have held you back from moving forward. They also create blocks around your heart and soul – blocking the flow of love and light into your life. I am here today with my intention being that I will help you break through those blocks and move forward on your journey toward growth and healing so that you can live in joy, peace, love, and freedom. No matter where you are in life today, what has happened to you in the past does not have to control how much happiness and success you can experience in your future. There is a way out of it! In this show, I will invite experts who share their knowledge about spirituality, psychology, meditation, alternative health, nutrition, and holistic living. Collaborative Conversations: Self-Worth & Value; Boundaries With Johnny Macarter

In this episode, I’m joined by Johnny Macarter. Johnny is a personal development coach, entrepreneur, and author of the books Not So Fresh Prince and Dear Nobody. The book Fresh Prince is about Johnny’s transition from working a nine to five to being a full-time entrepreneur. And, Dear Nobody is about the letters that Johhny wrote to people who caused trauma in his life. Today, we discussed how to cope with insecurities, recognize our worth, and set clear boundaries in relationships. We also talked about the necessity of proper communication in a relationship, as well as the mistakes people often make in a relationship. Tune in now! SEGMENTED TIMESTAMPS: [00:35] - About Johnny [04:09] - Highlight of Johnny’s 2021 [06:17] - His turning point for him to start to see his own value [12:37] - How to set healthy boundaries [16:11] - How do you know who to cut off and when to cut them off [17:15] - Understand and love yourself to avoid insecurities [21:13] - The communication aspect of setting boundaries [25:45] - Is it necessary for marriage to be the end goal of a committed relationship [29:18] - Things you need to know in a relationship [31:13] - Mistakes people often make in a relationship [34:26] - People should be careful to whom they are telling about their traumas or insecurities [41:30] - It is on us to be able to discern if a person is really good for us [46:00] - Closing remarks EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: ● Sometimes we allow people we’ve known for a longer period of time to push the boundaries we have set because we don’t want to lose that relationship. ● Once you start figuring out who you are, you start self-valuing yourself. ● Once you send that message that you’re not serious about that boundary, they’re going to push it every time. ● If you ever want to have a serious relationship with a person, don’t ever let them feel like it’s okay to disrespect you. ● Recently, people have become so accustomed to the concept of friendly benefits and sneaky leaks that it’s become cliche to even ask, “What are we doing? What are your intentions?” ● Oftentimes, people are so focused on staying together for so long that they don’t do the due diligence of getting to know each other. ● Broken people can heal, but never completely because you still feel a trigger when certain traumas are brought up or discussed. ● Be careful to whom you’re telling about your traumas and insecurities because there’re so many people who will take your trauma or insecurity and try to use them against you. NOTABLE QUOTES: “To figure out what you want, start with figuring out what you don’t want.”  “Don’t run from who you are, whether that be past, present, or future.” “The biggest obstacle we have in life is understanding ourselves.” “If you can’t even understand yourself, there’s absolutely no way that you can find your purpose and help people to find their purpose.” “We teach people how to treat us, whether intentionally or unintentionally.” “Understand yourself so that you can love yourself because when you don’t understand or love yourself it breeds insecurities. And when you’re insecure people can manipulate you.” "Make sure that your love of self is more than the love you give anyone else.” Reach Johnny Macarter at: IG & TikTok: @officialmacarter  Buy Not So Fresh Prince at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0578893487/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YNPXSY8YJN7YA0B4J642 Connect with me at: IG & TikTok: @idyllicindie

  3. SEASON 1, EPISODE 101 TRAILER

    Collaborative Conversations: Empath and Narcissist

In this episode, I’m joined by Energy Speaks to discuss an empath and narcissist relationship. We share about when an empath takes on the characteristics of a narcissist to survive the relationship. We also share how you can identify and deal with narcissistic behaviors when they pop up in your relationship. And when it’s time to call it quits, how do you move on? How can you work on self-love? Why is it important to take your time to heal before bouncing back to love again in your next relationship? Tune in to listen to these and more tips. Timestamps: [01:08] Defining Narcissistic personality [03:25] How a narcissistic relationship looks like [06:25] Dealing with a narcissistic partner [07:01] Narcissistic relationship only mode of operation [07:22] How empaths can move on from a narcissistic relationship [08:14] Can you change a narcissistic partner? [12:20] Should you seek revenge? [12:43] Focusing on the positives and self-love [14:29] Taking your time to heal [15:25] What you should know before starting any relationship with a narcissist. [16:14] Energy’s closing remarks Notable Quotes ● Oftentimes, narcissists will go into a relationship based on how it can benefit them. When an empath takes on the characteristics of the narcissist to survive the relationship, even after the relationship has ended often the empath carries these same characteristics into the next relationship closing themselves off to love. ● If you can really get out of your head and say, “I know I deserve better, I know that I’m worthy,” then that’s the first step to turning it all around.” ● You can either fight for good or fight for evil. You can be for evil or you can be for good. But you can’t be for both. ● We are all constantly giving love and our energy to everyone else but the question becomes, how do we replenish ourselves on a daily basis? ● Everyone has a different path and a different journey but they will all get to the same outcome of loving themselves. ● It’s important to remember, you are the captain of your ship.
