    #198 - Converted & Healed, Part 6, "Power"

Personal offense and unbelief create a toxic environment that restricts divine healing, whereas active faith releases God's power. Physical healing is intrinsically linked to the forgiveness of sins within the atoning work of Jesus on the cross, making healing as foundational to the gospel as salvation itself. There are two problematic extremes in the modern church. On one end, cessationist theology relies purely on human intellect and dry doctrine, stripping believers of spiritual power. On the other end, extreme charismatic movements often lack sound biblical instruction and descend into emotionalism or sensationalism. We need a balanced, Spirit-filled walk where sound doctrine is paired with the active demonstration of the Holy Spirit's supernatural gifts, which are still fully active for every individual believer today. The operational conditions required to walk in spiritual authority are maintaining unity by clearing personal offenses, repenting from sin, and obeying Christ’s commandments of love. True spiritual power is not found in superficial religious habits, but in total surrender to the lordship of Jesus and an earnest seeking of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Believers are ultimately called to abandon religious routines, reject unbelief, and cultivate an expectant faith that welcomes the miraculous in everyday life.

YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/FBGd2bnmGZY Rumble Link: rumble.com/v7fxt1c-197-converted-and-healed-part-5-offense-and-unbelief.html In this fifth installment of the "Converted & Healed" series, Oikos Ministries explores the critical connection between taking offense, harboring unbelief, and receiving divine healing [00:48]. Grounded in Isaiah 6 and Mark 6, the message demonstrates how Jesus was limited in performing miracles in His hometown because the local community grew offended by His familiar background, proving that taking offense acts as a trap that breeds spiritual powerlessness [08:52]. Familiarity, pride, and human self-reliance often cause people to harbor contempt and distrust God's authority [12:56]. Lingering unforgiveness actively hinders prayer and obstructs healing [14:51]. We must resolve personal grievances directly and confess faults to one another [19:53]. While acknowledging that not all illness stems from sin, the teaching asserts that lifestyle habits, bitterness, and spiritual rebellion frequently lead to sickness, making repentance vital for restoration [32:35]. Echoing the warnings in Matthew 24 and Hebrews 3–4, Teryl cautions against empty religious routine, warning that hearing God's Word without mixing it with active faith leads to hardened hearts [46:14]. Ultimately, referencing the Roman Centurion's deep trust in Jesus' authority, the message calls believers to clear away offenses, pray in the Holy Spirit, and stand in bold, expectant faith for God's promises [54:38].
