    Walking in Love

What does it really mean to walk worthy of the calling we have received as followers of Christ? That question sits at the heart of this exploration of Ephesians chapter four, and the answer might be simpler and more demanding than we expect. We trace a pattern most of us already know from everyday life: the journey from rules to principles. Just as children move from 'don't hit your sister' to understanding respect and family loyalty, and just as new employees move from rigid workplace procedures to grasping the deeper reasons behind them, our faith invites us into the same kind of maturity. The rules of Scripture are not arbitrary; they are the training ground for something deeper. That something deeper, according to Paul writing to the church in Ephesus, is love. Not a vague or sentimental love, but one defined with striking precision: humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another. When we live out that kind of love, Paul tells us it produces two remarkable outcomes. It draws us into genuine unity as one body under one Lord, and it grows us into a maturity that keeps us from being tossed around by false teaching and cultural noise. The challenge for us this week is not to master this overnight, but simply to notice. Are we walking in a manner worthy of the calling we have received? That awareness alone can be the beginning of something transformative. If you want help in starting this journey, please don't hesitate to reach out! The Extravagant Love of God

What does it mean to truly know that God loves you — not just as a fact you can recite, but as a truth you have tasted and experienced in the depths of your soul? That is the question at the heart of this message drawn from Ephesians 3. Paul's prayer for the church is not a casual wish. It is a passionate, carefully worded plea that we would be rooted and established in love, and that from that foundation we would come to comprehend the full dimensions of God's love — its length, width, height, and depth. The language Paul uses is deliberate. Being rooted and established in love is written in the passive voice, meaning this is something done to us, not something we achieve. God has already acted. He has already planted us in the soil of his love. The invitation is simply to recognize it, receive it, and let it fill us completely. There is a world of difference between knowing about God's love and actually knowing it. We can encourage others with it, speak it over our children, and understand it theologically — and still struggle to believe it for ourselves. This message calls us to close that gap, to move from the outside of the restaurant where we can smell the food, to actually sitting at the table and tasting it for ourselves. Unity and Peace

What does it truly mean to be unified with people we disagree with, people who worship differently, or people who see the world through an entirely different lens? This message digs into that uncomfortable question by taking us to Ephesians 2, where Paul delivers a stunning vision of what Christ accomplished on the cross. It was not simply the forgiveness of individual sins. It was the demolition of the wall between two deeply divided groups, Jewish believers and Gentile believers, and the creation of something entirely new. Not a blending of the two old identities, but a brand new humanity. The spiritual insight here is profound: Christ did not ask one side to absorb the other. He called both sides to lay down their old identities and be formed into something that had never existed before. That same call echoes into our lives today, challenging us to ask whether the divisions we hold onto, whether over doctrine, denomination, background, or culture, are walls that Christ already tore down. The relevance to our faith journey is immediate and personal. Unity is not a vague theological concept. It is something we are called to actively pursue, and the peace that accompanies true unity is the very evidence that we are living it out.
