    In Healing from Burn Out ft Jayme Rivera LCSW

    Hey friends! Trigger warnings for this episode: depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. This episode was not made for little ears, and there are plenty of expletives, so please listen at your own discretion. Now onto the good stuff! It’s been awhile since my last upload, and you’re about to find out why. Something that I’ve been silently battling for quite a while is burn out. And while burn out is not something that is defined in the DSM-5, I can definitely attribute these struggles to some of the challenges I’ve dealt with in working through depression and anxiety. To be honest, burn out was a long time coming for me, and it’s kind of a miracle that I was able to fend it off for as long as I was. I share a lot more about my journey in this episode. Because this episode is so deeply intertwined with mental health, the most ethical thing to do was to bring on a professional. I’m joined today with my dear friend, Jayme Rivera -LCSW- of JLR Counseling. We go DEEP into this discussion as we cover: How I learned about burn out the hard way What causes burn out? What are the symptoms? How does our society and the patriarchy promote burn out? How can we prevent it?     In Spring Cleaning

    Let’s talk about Spring Cleaning! In this episode we will discuss the energy signature of clutter and the importance of cleaning out your closet! I clean out our closets at least twice a year but it wasn’t always that way. For a long time I really struggled parting with certain items because of my abandonment trauma (which caused me to become extremely attached to physical items). We will discuss how I helped myself move past those extremely strong emotions while creating a small second stream of income by re-selling, as well as how it helped me from an energetic standpoint.
