    How to Actually Stay Consistent With God

    What do you do when you don't feel like praying, reading your Bible, or spending time with God? The reality is, we won't always feel motivated to pursue the Lord. Life gets busy, distractions pile up, routines fall apart, and sometimes even the simplest spiritual disciplines can feel difficult. But a mature Christian life isn't built on motivation alone. It's built on a daily decision to deny ourselves, fix our eyes on Jesus, and keep showing up. In this episode, we're talking about the art of self-denial and spiritual discipline, what it actually takes to remain consistent in our walk with God, and how to cultivate a lifestyle of communion with Him rather than just another religious routine. Drawing from Scripture and The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, we'll explore the things that keep us from pursuing Christ, including distraction, complacency, discouragement, sin, and the pressure to have the perfect quiet time. But this isn't about doing more to prove our devotion to God. It's about learning to love Him more deeply, making room for His presence in our everyday lives, and remembering who we're running this race for in the first place. You don't need the perfect routine, an hour of uninterrupted prayer, or a sudden burst of motivation to begin. Sometimes it starts with five intentional minutes, a simple prayer, or choosing to put your phone down and turn your attention back to Him. The goal isn't just consistency. It's communion.     God Just Wants to Hear From You

We convince ourselves we need the perfect routine, the perfect prayer, an hour of uninterrupted time, or even the perfect heart before we can come to Him. And when we fall out of rhythm, we can become discouraged, ashamed, or convinced that we’ve gone too far to come back. But God desires communion with you. In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to have a real, relational walk with God. One where you can come to Him in whatever capacity you have in this season, talk to Him honestly, open His Word, and simply desire to know Him more. And sometimes we have to ask ourselves a harder question: do we actually want to know God? The Bible isn’t just another task on your Christian checklist. It’s 66 books that reveal the character, heart, promises, correction, and redemptive story of the God you say you love. When we begin to see Scripture as an invitation to know Him, rather than an obligation to complete, everything changes. You don’t have to perform for God.     When You Feel Like You’re Falling Short

    What do you do when following God starts revealing the parts of you that still need work? Maybe you’re noticing thoughts you thought you were past, comparing yourself to others, having a hard time receiving correction, or trying to faithfully serve God in a season that feels harder than you expected. Sometimes walking closely with God means seeing yourself more clearly. And that can be uncomfortable. In this episode, we’re talking about what it looks like to keep following God when you feel like you’re falling short, allowing Him to correct and refine you, and remembering that being used by God doesn’t mean He’s finished working on you. You can be called and still need correction. You can be serving and still need refining. You can love God deeply and still have areas where He wants you to grow. Don’t run from what God is revealing. Let Him use it to make you more like Christ. "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." — Philippians 1:6 You’re not there yet. None of us are.     Kill Your Flesh and Live By the Spirit

    You were never meant to live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we find ourselves wondering where our joy went, why we have no peace, or why following God suddenly feels exhausting. We’re praying, reading our Bibles, serving, resisting sin, and trying to do all the “right” things, but somewhere along the way, we may have started trying to do the work of the Spirit in our own strength. The Holy Spirit isn’t an optional part of our walk with God. He is our Helper, our Comforter, our Teacher, and the One who produces His fruit within us. In this episode, we’re talking about why we desperately need the Holy Spirit, what happens when we begin depending on ourselves instead of Him, and how to return to a life that is led and empowered by the Spirit. You cannot manufacture love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control through willpower alone. It is the fruit of the Spirit.     Can You Trust God With Your Timeline?

    Waiting on God can be one of the hardest parts of our faith journey. We pray, we prepare, we obey, and eventually we start wondering: God, how much longer? But what if the waiting season isn't just something you need to get through? What if God is using it to transform you? In this episode, we're talking about what God does in the waiting: how He develops our faith, exposes what we're depending on, prepares us for what's ahead, and teaches us to trust Him without needing to know when everything will happen. Sometimes we're so focused on God changing our circumstances that we miss how deeply He's changing us. Can you trust God with your desires, your plans, and even your timeline? The waiting isn't wasted. God is still working. "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." — Psalm 27:14

    God Qualifies the Called

    What if feeling unqualified doesn’t mean you’re not called? So many of us delay obedience because we’re waiting to feel ready, confident, experienced, or equipped enough to do what God has called us to do. But throughout Scripture, God repeatedly called ordinary, imperfect, and unlikely people and equipped them for the assignment He gave them. In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to be called by God, how insecurity can keep us from obedience, and why your weaknesses don’t automatically disqualify you from being used by Him. God isn’t asking you to have everything figured out before you say yes. He’s asking for your surrender, your obedience, and your willingness to let Him equip you along the way. If God called you, trust that He knows exactly who He called. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Stop waiting until you feel qualified. Say yes and let God do the qualifying.

    What does it actually mean to live holy? Holiness isn't reserved for pastors, leaders, or the "super spiritual." As followers of Christ, we are all called to be set apart. But in a culture where compromise is normalized and the line between conviction and comfort can become blurry, what does pursuing holiness actually look like? In this episode, we're talking about what biblical holiness is, what it isn't, our relationship with sin, obedience, conviction, and the daily decision to become more like Christ. Holiness isn't about earning God's love or achieving perfection. It's the fruit of a life surrendered to Him. "But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct." — 1 Peter 1:15 We aren't called to blend in. We're called to be set apart.

We become distracted by our circumstances, ourselves, our desires, and even the work we're doing for God—and slowly lose sight of the One it's all about. In this episode, we're talking about the art of beholding: learning to recognize Christ, keeping our attention fixed on Him, and allowing what we see in Him to transform the way we live. Because the Christian life isn't just about doing more for God. It's about seeing Him, knowing Him, loving Him, and becoming more like Him. "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" — John 1:29 May we become a people who never lose our wonder at the Lamb.
