    This week, we're reacting to one hell of an episode of The Dead Files: “Drawn to Evil.” In Medina, New York, Steve and Amy investigate a gorgeous 1837 cobblestone inn where a family is dealing with screams, shadow figures, slamming doors, physical attacks, frightening nightmares, and an alarming amount of activity centered around one particular closet. Then Amy finds a Satanic vortex. Because apparently regular haunted closets aren't enough anymore. We also dig into the history of the nearly 200-year-old former stagecoach inn, including a tragic former owner, some spectacularly bad financial decisions, and the horrifying 1889 murder of a young girl. And this case comes with a very interesting twist for us: Amy recently stumbled across Cameron, a member of the family who lived in the house, on TikTok. He, his mom Lucinda (Cindy on the show), and his sister Kelsey have agreed to come on TAC and tell us what happened from their perspective.     177: Where Balls Typically Are Held (Ghost Brothers Reaction)

    We’re hanging out with the Ghost Brothers one more time, and this week the dice have sent us to the historic Fitzpatrick Hotel in Washington, Georgia. Built in the late 1800s, the Fitzpatrick comes with exactly the sort of history we like around here: old rooms, strange happenings, a cemetery underneath the building because apparently moving the headstones was good enough, and at least one extremely messy story involving a man, his wife, his mistress, and a New Year’s Eve ball. Which, as Megan helpfully points out, was held in the ballroom. Where balls typically are held. The Ghost Brothers check into the hotel for the night and investigate reports of mysterious footsteps, lights turning themselves on, a little girl roaming the halls, and spirits who may still be hanging around more than a century later. Meanwhile, we discuss creepy paintings, Bloody Mary, suspicious EVPs, very tight pants, and the important paranormal-investigation rule: don’t do that when you’re drunk. There’s also a moment when everyone blames producer Steve for something decidedly ghosty, prompting a well-deserved “Damn it, Steve.” Except...it might not actually have been Steve. And after all the investigating, evidence reviewing, and attempts to figure out exactly who is haunting the Fitzpatrick, Amy delivers perhaps the perfect summary of paranormal television: “That was a lot of not really.” We love the Ghost Brothers, though.     Ghost Brothers: Lights Out: Waverly Hills It's time for another paranormal watch-along, and this time we're heading to one of the most famous haunted locations in America... Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Once again, we let the Universe decide which iteration of Ghost Brothers shows (there are three), and which season and episode we would watch. We landed “Ghost Brothers: Lights Out” Season 2, Episode 8. Before long we were asking the important questions: ·       Is Tim the Demon just suffering from a branding problem? ·       Is Ghost Whip 3000 the greatest piece of ghost-hunting technology ever named? ·       And perhaps most importantly... why are people’s ribs gone? As we follow the Ghost Brothers through haunted hallways, body chutes, bats, body bags, and more "absolutely not" moments than we can count, we discover that the most fascinating part of Waverly Hills might not be the story everyone already knows. Could the other story of Waverly Hills actually be the darker one? OR is Shirleen just drinking the company Kool-Aid. Along the way, we remind ourselves that not everything's demonic. Humans deserve more than the occasional fresh air and sunshine to survive, and question some life choices including body bags and morgue body trays.
