    OneAO 2026 Highlights Part 1

OneAO® 2026 is AO North America’s flagship multi-specialty conference, uniting surgeons, fellows, and residents across spine, orthopaedic trauma, craniomaxillofacial, hand, foot and ankle, veterinary medicine, sports, and reconstruction. By convening this broad surgical community in one setting, OneAO® fosters cross-specialty dialogue, innovation, and collaboration—advancing solutions in musculoskeletal disorders, fracture management, and surgical performance. This year’s theme centers on human performance and the factors that drive exceptional outcomes in high-stakes environments. Renowned speakers, researchers, and frontline leaders will explore resilience, grit, decision-making under pressure, and the behaviors that elevate individuals and teams. In this episode Dr. Mark Lee President of AO North America talks about what OneAO is, and the state of AO North America. Dr. Rex Marco talks about the role of mindfulness and emotional healing in medicine and leadership. The concept of "the second victim" is also discussed.
