Appreciating Our Days

Pastor Carmichael has such an awesome perspective due to his experience as a reverend and hospice chaplain. The message to appreciate and make the most of our days is something we all should do.

This is an amazing show that speaks honestly and deeply about what it means to be human and how to live life to the fullest.

Listening to this podcast brought me back to how we met 13 years ago at Center for Hope Hospice. Pastor was visiting another patient and stopped by my daughter’s room and prayed with her. He continued meeting and counseling. Upon, Nicole’s passing, he preached his first funeral service. I continue to follow this shepherd.

After listening to the podcast I immediately began to reflect on how my day was spent appreciating God’s faithfulness. It began with a journal entry that I wrote my praise report and prayer request. I grabbed my camera and went for a walk around the neighborhood capturing the geese in the pond behind my house. I later called a friend who was saddened by the recent death of her Aunt. I picked up lunch for her along with a few items at the store. The conversation with Reverend Kahlil and Sister Dinah served as a springboard for me to think about my purpose and God’s will for my life. The podcast topic was thought provoking, well organized as both participants were sincere and clear in their responses. I look forward to the next series of topics.
