First off, I am embarrassed at how long it took me to remember my high school Spanish to write that title. Second, off, WOW, what a great show! And not just another show in the mold of Rex Factor (although I do love all #rexypods). One difference between this show and many others is that the main presenter, Sarah, has a broad and deep pre-existing knowledge of the history of Spain, so she’s able to give a basic overview of the story while also skimming through the academic side of the history (sources, manuscript history, etc) in a manner that’s much more similar to Saga Thing (also hosted by academics) than to other more casual podcasts in the Rex factor format. And, I’ve gotta say that Peter is one of the funniest co-hosts in the business - his sarcasm really works well in contrast with Sarah’s more matter of fact tone, and it’s also great that he seems to have a very solid memory for stuff discussed in previous episodes (no shade to Ali from Rex factor, but it’s nice to have the cohost help you as a listener remember older information). I just started listening last week and I can already tell I’ll be done in a couple of days, and when that happens I’ll be eagerly awaiting new episodes as they come out!
