The Nostalgia Pit

Colin Casserd and Rob Snow

The Nostalgia Pit is a podcast aiming to dissect pop culture, the subconscious, and other psychological phenomena through a hyperbolic and prismatic lens. Hosted by Rob Snow and Colin Casserd, the Nostalgia Pit is available anywhere you find your podcasts. Nostalgia is so often thought of as something great from our childhood... But this psychological pitfall can sometimes have massive effects on our decision making. Our goal here is to discuss these areas where morals and ethics blur and the warm feelings of childhood take over. Oh, and to talk some shit... Produced by Colin Casserd

    Brackets Brackets!

Brackets. Are. BACK! You know what that means... Resident bracketologist Drinks w/ Ron is in the house with another surprise for us. This week, as it is our 17th bracket, Ron decided to make a bracket of our brackets! How very meta of him... Our resident spleen Shroom Daddy 69 is in the house as well to help out. Besides all the discussion of brackets and recaps of old brackets, we discuss a possible NEW podcast coming to the Lowfalutin network. But that's not all, of course. We also discuss hearing absurd things while riding public transit and the logistics of using certain items as weapons... Oops! All Peaks! w/ Matt Goodwin

We welcome back musician and actor Matt Goodwin into The Pit. He's here to discuss his new record Lights Along the Road which comes out November 13th. With a few singles already out, he was kind enough to allow our audience a EXCLUSIVE sneak peak at one of the songs that is NOT slated to be a single, and thus, will only be out when the record drops. We also brought back Rob's Reviews and looked at the 2024 film Kung Fu Games starring Matt himself! This movie was released by Tiger Style Media and was the last movie to be filmed on the famous soundstage that was home to the 1997 smash hit Titanic starring Leo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet. Make sure you check out the film and Matt's music, streaming on all platforms you can find that sort of thing. Whether it be a song, band, or a connection to a specific scene, they discuss the personal connections to the soundtrack with a guest! That guest for this episode is myself (Colin Casserd). We discuss the 1998 Roland Emmerich vehicle that is Godzilla. A big part of my childhood, I could not help but jump at the opportunity to discuss this one with these great folk.
