Episode 84- My Conversation with Jobert E. Abueva about The Janus Plan: Beating the Procrastination Trap.

In this episode, I had a conversation with Jobert E. Abueva about The Janus Plan: Beating the Procrastination Trap. We spoke about procrastination traps that keep people from reaching their goals, moving on from negative situations, overcoming low self-esteem, self-love, self-respect, self-worth, self-value, self-confidence, and believing in yourself when no one else does, and lowering yourselves to build other people up. When many people think about procrastination, they think about people who are lazy and have no inspiration. He breaks down the Janus Plan when it comes to beating the procrastination traps that are keeping you from reaching your goals and the path, purpose, and journey that you are meant to be on. He spoke on mindful cleansing & global rituals when it comes to detoxing the mind from the past and things that are keeping you stagnant, stuff, and procrastination. We spoke on why people's New Year's resolutions are broken by February. How to go about overcoming fear and insecurities that keep you procrastinating and quitting? How can our relationship with our parents be the cause of not doing the things that you can actually do, due to making you feel less than what you are, and breaking your self-esteem and self-worth? A little about Jobert E. Abueva: he is an MBA, TEDx speaker ("Beyond Resolutions: The Art of Beginning with Intention"), and award-winning author whose work has appeared in The New York Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Jobert is warm, articulate, and deeply relatable. Instead, he developed a flexible, 6-step framework—inspired by Janus, the two-faced Roman god of thresholds and transitions—to help people reflect on the past, clear mental and physical clutter, and build sustainable life momentum without punitive pressure. This was a great conversation, and hopefully there will be a second conversation coming soon. I hope you guys enjoy the episode.  Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/you-minding-your-own-business--5280319/support.

Episode 83- My Conversation with JR Ortiz About Why MacroLife Superfoods are better than AG1 & IM8.

In this episode, I spoke to JR Ortiz about his and his mom's company, Macro Greens and Miracle Reds, which helps with formulating for gut health, inflammation, and nutrient status long before it became trendy. We talked about the importance of  Macros when it comes to your internal health and wellness. We talked about internal health when it comes to the digestive system, as far as prebiotics and probiotics. We talked about the relationship between patients and physicians when it comes to treatments. He tells his story of being overweight as a child, how his mom gave him a shake that helped him to lose weight that turned into a product that was created in1998 that is now helping the masses. He also created a product, Miracle Reds, that helps with cancer. We spoke with his mom and him to understand that looking healthy externally doesn't always mean the body is thriving internally. We spoke about how symptoms are often clues instead of problems to suppress. He spoke about his journey of being a doctor like his father, who was a pediatrician, as far as helping others who are struggling with weight loss. We also talked about allergies and not being able to eat healthy products due to companies that produce shellfish, tree nuts, and chemicals that cause allergies, so I can't eat or consume them. We also spkoe on how they make healthy living simple with doctor-formulated superfood blends that deliver daily nutrition in one delicious scoop. Their company is a best-selling products like Macro Greens and Miracle Reds are packed with nutrient-rich superfoods to support energy, gut health, immunity, and overall wellness without the chalky or earthy taste. And is also trusted by major retailers like Walmart and Vitamin Shoppe, with clean, non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free ingredients designed for busy people who want maximum nutrition with minimal effort. A little about JR. Ortiz, him and his mom crearted the whole superfood category back in 1998. They've changed millions of people's diets with award-winning superfoods that fill nutritional gaps and feed the body at the cellular level. And they're basically the OG of the space, ready to go toe-to-toe with newer names like AG1 and IM8. It was a great conversation, and I hope that you guys can enjoy the conversations. Episode 82- My Conversation with Cherie Hoeger About Women Having It All.

In this episode, I had a great conversation with Cherie Hoeger about having it all when it comes to being a wife, having children, and a successful business. Many women are told that they can't have it all and have to lower themselves due to some men being insecure about them making more money than their husbands. She created period underwear and period cups. She tells her story about being married and having six children, and how one day she decided to become the Co-founder and CEO of the company Saalt, helping women from her and her husband's countries who don't have feminine products to have those products. She talks about how her husband has become her biggest supporter and co-founder of the company. And how they work together as a team to build a business and raise their children. What she instills in her daughters when it comes to following their dreams and goals. Why should women build something of their own despite being married? We also spoke on why misinformation, not preference, keeps women from switching to reusable period care. How social impact works as a behavioral signal, not just a marketing story? Work-life integration as a mother of six running a mission-driven brand. A little about Cherie Hoeger: she is a women-owned B Corp building reusable period care products with a 1% social give-back mission to end period poverty. Since 2018, we've donated over 160,000 period products across 56 countries and funded more than 1.3 million days of school for girls. If you want to reach her, you can reach her at https://saalt.com/, and cherie.hoeger@saalt.com. I really hope you guys enjoy the conversations. Episode 81- My Conversation with Cheri Martinen About Medical, Life, Home and Auto Insurance.

On this episode, I spoke to Cheri Martinen about medical, auto, life, and home insurance. I learned so much about each insurance as far as what they pay for and what they don't. I learned about medical and auto claims as far as billing them. I spoke about the issues that I had as a medical biller when it comes to speaking with the providers about their claims and correcting them. The importance of having communication with doctors when it comes to billing claims. It was a really good conversation, and I learned a lot about insurance. A little bit about Cheri Martinen, is a fourth-generation insurance professional, entrepreneur, speaker, and Managing Principal & Equity Owner at OneDigital. Episode 79- My conversation with Amanda & Jessica From Little Seed Match About Surrogacy.

In this episode, I spoke to the founders, Amanda and Jessica, of the company Little Seed Match about helping women who are unable to have children through natural childbirth. They tell a beautiful yet painful story of how Jessica was unable to have a child naturally and made a hard decision to have a surrogate carry the baby for her. Amanda was the surrogate that she and her husband chose. They both tell their stories from the surrogate's and the women who will be raising the child's perspectives. We talk about the importance of the relationships between the mother-to-be and the surrogate. How they became friends through this journey to build a business to help women, as far as the surrogacy journeys lack: transparency, emotional support, and real human connection. Through their journey with bringing Oliva into the world through surrogacy, they built a business that bridges the gap when it comes to making choosing a surrogate more personal vs a transaction. A little about their company Little Seed Match, they founded it after living through what so many surrogacy journeys lack: transparency, emotional support, and real human connection. After completing our own independent surrogacy journey together, and staying close long after Olivia’s birth, we saw that surrogacy did not have to feel transactional to work. Little Seed Match helps intended parents and surrogates build trust-based, relationship-driven journeys rooted in alignment, communication, shared values, and emotional safety, which speaks directly to people rebuilding trust after painful, life-altering experiences.italso  helps intended parents and surrogates build trust-based, relationship-driven journeys rooted in alignment, communication, shared values, and emotional safety, which speaks directly to people rebuilding trust after painful, life-altering experiences. I learned so much about surrogacy that I didn't know. It was a beautiful conversation that I hope many women who are able to have children will learn from their story. Episode 78 - Starting From Scratch and the Bottom to Something New in Life and Businesses.

In this episode, I discussed how I’m in the starting over from the bottom and from scratch when you come to building my podcasts, coaching, jewelry, mental health, practitioner, practice, and being a content creator businesses. I talk about how my podcast is starting to grow into a new level that I was nowhere near prepared for, nor was I expecting. I never thought in 1 million years that I would go from just being a small podcast, to now having conversations with so many inspirational people. The insecurities, and fears that I had about what if these things did not work out when it came to my podcast, and my multiple businesses that I’m starting. How I self sabotage myself because of these doubts, fears, and insecurities that I’m still working on. What my future plans, and goals are when it comes to these podcast, my jewelry business, my coaching business, becoming an author, motivation of speaking, and my jewelry business. This hasn’t been a very easy journey, especially considering my father passed away this year and me losing my job. I talk about how just like a baby bird that get thrown out of the nest, here comes to the time when you have to eventually fly or either die. But once you actually fly, all your fears go away after that. And I take that same logic when it comes to everything that’s new in my life that I’ve never experienced before. And I really hope this episode gives you inspiration for those of you that are starting something new as well. That you’re not alone when it comes to those fears, insecurities, and doubts when it comes to starting something new.
