    120. Jesus Rose from the Dead: Proof, Prophecy & Why Easter Matters

If you’ve ever wondered why Christians treat Easter like the hinge point of history, it comes down to one claim that can’t be watered down: Jesus Christ literally rose from the dead. I’m Danielle Venables, and I’m walking you through why the resurrection is not a poetic metaphor, not a “spiritual truth,” and not something we can casually set aside while keeping the label of Christianity. If Jesus didn’t rise, the faith collapses. If He did, the cross is not a defeat, it’s a victory over sin and death. We dig into the biblical case with clear Scripture, including 1 Corinthians 15 and Romans 1, then trace how Jesus predicted His resurrection again and again in the Gospels. From there, we connect the dots to fulfilled prophecy and patterns that point forward to Easter, including Psalm 16, Isaiah 53, and the “third day” sign Jesus links to Jonah. This isn’t presented as a late invention, but as a message embedded in the earliest Christian proclamation. Then we tackle the questions people actually ask: What about the empty tomb? What about claims of hallucination? What about the counter-argument that the disciples stole the body? We look at why even opposing explanations still admit the tomb was empty, and why the Gospels naming women as the first witnesses is a credibility marker in that culture, not a marketing strategy. We also talk about the post-resurrection appearances and the transformed disciples, including Paul the former persecutor, and why that kind of change demands an explanation. If this strengthens your faith or sparks new questions, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share this with a friend who’s skeptical, and leave a review so more people can find the conversation. 119. Good Friday Reminds Us We Cannot Earn Grace

Good Friday is not a vague spiritual metaphor, it’s a confrontation with the thing we keep trying to outrun: we cannot fix ourselves by willpower, self-talk, or perfectionism. I share why “give yourself grace” can feel strangely unsatisfying when you’re still carrying real guilt, and why grace from Jesus lands with a different kind of weight. When grace is a gift that cost something, it doesn’t feel like enabling. It feels like rescue.  We walk through the crucifixion accounts with an eye for meaning and evidence, connecting the crown of thorns back to Genesis, the divided garments back to Psalm 22, and the piercing and unbroken bones back to Old Testament prophecy. I also touch on Christian apologetics, including how details in the Gospels align with historical context and why the Bible’s cross-references matter if you’ve ever doubted Scripture or come from New Age beliefs.  Then we tackle a modern myth that spikes every Easter: claims that the Bible erases women or hides a “Mary Magdalene” storyline. The Gospels repeatedly name women as present at the cross and burial, which is exactly the kind of detail you wouldn’t invent to gain power in the first century. We also talk about later Gnostic texts and why they read more like fan fiction than firsthand testimony. If you’ve been curious about Jesus, skeptical about the Bible, or tired of trying to be your own savior, this conversation is for you. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs grace, and leave a review with the biggest question you’re still wrestling with. 118. Jesus Is Not Netflix And Tarot Is Not A Tool

Tarot as a “tool.” Astrology as “just guidance.” Worshiping other gods as long as God stays at the top. We keep hearing versions of the same promise: you can blend New Age spirituality with Christian faith and still be fine. We don’t buy it, and more importantly, Scripture doesn’t either. We slow down and walk through the Bible passages people quote to defend spiritual coexistence, then we put them back in context. That includes Psalm 82, the commandment about having no other gods, and the difference between acknowledging spiritual reality and being authorized to seek spiritual direction from it. We also go straight to the clear warnings many of us wish were more flexible: Deuteronomy 18 on divination and sorcery, Leviticus 19 on not seeking mediums, and Isaiah 47’s blunt words on astrologers. Along the way, we draw a clean line between astronomy as observing God’s creation and astrology as an identity and guidance system. We also talk about why false worship is not “neutral energy,” why the Bible connects idols and pagan sacrifice to demonic powers, and why deception often feels like light. Then we tackle the modern slogan “I follow Christ, not the Bible” and test it against Jesus’ own teaching on fulfilling the law, grace, and obedience. If you’re deconstructing New Age beliefs, leaving tarot behind, or trying to understand what biblical discernment really looks like, this conversation is for you. If this helped you, subscribe for more, share it with someone who’s on the fence, and leave a review so more people can find it. What spiritual practice has been the hardest for you to let go of? 117. Why I Left The New Age

I didn’t leave the New Age because it stopped being popular, I left because I couldn’t ignore what it was producing in me. I had built a business and identity around manifestation, alignment, and “trusting the universe,” and walking away meant losing money, credibility, and the brand I spent years building. From the outside, a New Age to Jesus story can look like a sudden switch, but the internal process is messy, costly, and deeply personal. I unpack the turning points that made me question everything: the way New Age talks about surrender while quietly training you to control outcomes, the strange emptiness that can follow even when manifestation “works,” and why chasing constant upgrades can turn into always seeking and never arriving. I also share how my gratitude changed after giving my life to Jesus and how purpose started to look less like chasing the next win and more like showing up as His hands and feet in ordinary life. Then we go into the real world fruit. I break down the dark side of “act as if” and “leap before you’re ready,” especially in abundance and quantum leap culture, where impulsive spending and poor stewardship can get packaged as faith. Finally, I talk about the most painful red flag: New Age spirituality couldn’t save my marriage, and it forced me to ask whether a self focused spiritual framework can ever produce sacrificial covenantal love. If you’re searching for spiritual discernment, biblical truth, and clarity on the New Age to Christianity pipeline, this conversation is for you. If this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s questioning New Age beliefs, and leave a review telling me what part hit you hardest. 116. Popular New Age Beliefs vs The Bible | PART 2

Manifestation. Spirit guides. Reincarnation. “Low vibration” sin. These ideas don’t just shape a spiritual aesthetic, they shape how we think reality works, who holds authority, and what we do when life hurts. I’m Danielle Venables, and this is part two of my New Age vs the Bible series, where I lay out the specific beliefs I used to live by and contrast them with what I now believe after giving my life to Jesus. We dig into why the law of attraction and manifestation can feel so convincing, and why I’ve come to see them as an attempt to take the driver’s seat from God. I connect that to Scripture like James 4:13–15 and the daily practice of surrender: asking boldly, but still meaning “God, let Your will be done.” We also wrestle with the question people rarely ask out loud: if certain New Age practices are wrong, why do they sometimes “work”? That leads into discernment, spiritual warfare, and why the Bible repeatedly warns against practices like divination, mediumship, and channeling. From there we talk about morality and truth. If sin is only an energetic imbalance, who gets to define good and evil? I contrast the “low vibration” framing with verses like Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23, then move into reincarnation and why Hebrews 9:27 challenged one of my deepest assumptions. We also unpack spirit guides and “higher beings,” and why I now believe some guidance that feels loving can still be spiritually deceptive. Finally, we close with Jesus: His love is real and relational, but it isn’t a blank check that affirms everything. If you’re questioning New Age spirituality, exploring Christianity, or trying to understand the New Age to Jesus pipeline, listen through and then join the conversation. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s curious, and leave a review so more people can find it. 115. Popular New Age Beliefs vs The Bible

“All paths lead to God” sounds loving and open minded, but I don’t think it’s harmless. I’m Danielle Venables, and I’m sharing why I believe some of the most popular New Age beliefs are not just different options for spirituality but counterfeits that can slowly pull us away from Jesus while still feeling bright, moral, and empowering. I walk through five big ideas I once believed myself: every religion leads to the same destination, Jesus as an enlightened teacher or ascended master, the “you are divine” and co-creator message, the claim that good and evil are illusions, and the assumption that anything labeled light work must be good. Along the way I contrast those beliefs with Scripture like John 14:6, John 1:1, Isaiah 43:10, Genesis 3:5, Isaiah 5:20, and 2 Corinthians 11:14, and I explain why “it worked for me” isn’t the same thing as “it’s from God.” If you’ve experimented with tarot, divination, Akashic Records, energy healing, or channeled spiritual teaching and you’re wrestling with why it felt helpful, you’re not alone. I also share how my perspective shifted, why discernment matters, and why I think real peace looks different when it’s grounded in the living God rather than self as the final authority. I’m also teeing up a part two, because there’s more to unpack. Listen, share this with someone who’s spiritually curious, and if it raises questions for you, reach out. 114. Grief Before Debate: Christian Perspective After Canadian School Shooting

A small northern BC town is shattered by a school shooting, and the noise machine spins up fast. Before the takes and the threads, we slow down to honor the lives lost, sit with our own shock, and ask a harder question: what actually helps a grieving community right now? From my seat inside the response at work, I share how “action mode” can hide unprocessed pain, why early political battles rarely serve the wounded, and what love looks like when the cameras leave. We walk through the pressure points exploding online—gun rights in Canada, school policies around gender and identity, and the instinct to use tragedy to score points. I don’t dodge the hard topics or the need for change. Instead, I offer a framework for timing and tone: grieve first, then advocate wisely. That means truth without hate, clarity without contempt, and courage anchored in compassion. We talk practical, too: how to support families with meals, check-ins, childcare, and donations; how to show up for students who are scared; and how to move beyond social media into real influence. We also name what’s been building: a youth mental health crisis fueled by screens, isolation, and broken systems. Real solutions live in consistent presence, local counseling access, church and community rhythms, and parents reclaiming digital boundaries. If you’re ready to work for change, we map the right channels—MLAs, MPs, school boards, and legislative petitions—so energy turns into outcomes, not outrage. Listen to ground yourself, gather your people, and choose compassion over performance. If this resonates, share it with a friend who’s hurting, subscribe for future conversations, and leave a review to help more neighbors find a path toward healing. 113. Overcoming Religious Shame, Healing From Church Hurt, and Finding Your Way Back to Jesus

Ever been told to obey first and feel later? I grew up equating faith with performance, penance, and shame—and it kept me far from the church. Today we get honest about church hurt, the weight it puts on our hearts, and the quiet ways it can block a real relationship with Jesus. This is a story about moving from condemnation to conviction, from checking boxes to living in grace, and from isolation to a community that actually helps you heal. We revisit a striking childhood memory of face-to-face confession and the pressure to produce the “right” sins, then contrast that with what Scripture shows: a God who seeks us, leaves the ninety-nine for the one, and calls us into a personal relationship. We explore repentance as a heart posture, not a transaction; the gentle, persistent work of the Holy Spirit in sanctification; and how inner transformation naturally reshapes habits—like my slow shift away from drinking—not from fear, but from desire to draw closer to God. Along the way, we name the difference between legalism and love, offer practical first steps for those wary of returning to church, and share what a healthy, Bible-centered community looks like: honest, humble, and grounded in grace and truth. If past experiences have made you hide, there’s room to breathe here—and a seat at the table with your name on it.
