    127. Is IVF Biblical? My Response to Fertility, Surrogacy, and God’s Sovereignty

A lot of people talk about IVF and surrogacy like they’re morally neutral tools. We don’t. In this episode, we slow down and ask a question many Christians avoid saying out loud: If God is sovereign over life and fertility, what does that mean for the choices we make when infertility hurts and hope feels delayed? We walk through Scripture—from Genesis to 1 Samuel, Ruth, and the Psalms—where children are consistently described as a gift and a stewardship, not a product or an entitlement. Again and again, the Bible points to God as the one who opens and closes the womb. We also draw a crucial distinction many miss: the Bible includes both descriptive stories (what happened) and prescriptive truth (what God commands). Confusing the two can lead us to justify modern “solutions” simply because something similar appears in a narrative. From there, we talk honestly about the ethical questions Christians should wrestle with when it comes to reproductive technology:  Surrogacy and the separation of pregnancy from parenthood  The risk of commodifying children  IVF practices involving multiple embryos, freezing, and loss of life Ultimately, this conversation comes back to a deeper tension: trust vs. striving. We close with a hopeful, often-overlooked alternative rooted in the Christian story itself: adoption, and the biblical language of God adopting us into His family. If this topic hits close to home, we approach it with both compassion and clarity. 👉 Subscribe for more faith-rooted conversations  👉 Share this with someone navigating fertility decisions  👉 Leave a review with the question you want us to tackle next Send us Fan Mail Want to add a new passive income stream to your business that aligns with your values of health, family, and conscious wealth? 126. Waiting for a Sign? 10 Subtle Ways God Is Drawing You To Jesus

You can spend years chasing “truth” and still feel like you’re missing the one thing that actually holds. If you’re starting to soften toward Jesus after New Age spirituality, coaching culture, or a long stretch of “my truth is the truth,” the next step can feel strangely frustrating: you want God to prove Himself, clearly and quickly, the way manifestation and divination promised they could. I get it, and I also want to offer a better framework for what’s happening when God feels quiet. We walk through why God isn’t a constant on-demand download of signs, why His silence isn’t rejection, and how seasons of testing can produce the kind of steadfast faith that lasts (James 1). Then we get very practical with ten grounded ways God may be revealing Himself without a dramatic miracle: a softened heart (Ezekiel 36:26), conviction that draws you closer rather than crushing you (John 16:8 and Romans 8:1), a growing hunger for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), Scripture suddenly feeling alive (Hebrews 4:12), peace that doesn’t make sense in hard circumstances (Philippians 4:6–7), and transformation over time through sanctification and the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). We also talk about discernment for anyone coming out of New Age practices: repeated themes and timely conversations can be God’s kindness, but chasing “signs” can pull you right back into divination. And if you’ve been waiting for a single lightning-bolt moment, don’t miss this: the desire to seek God may be the moment, because no one comes unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). 125. From Tarot & Akashic Records to Jesus Christ | Deconstructing New Age Beliefs

I used to believe all religions were basically pointing to the same thing, and I built a business around New Age spirituality: oracle card readings, Akashic Records sessions, Reiki certification, tarot, astrology, and the whole “spiritual awakening” mindset. It felt like healing. It felt like light. It even looked like it “worked” at times. But when I finally started asking honest questions about truth, Scripture, and the real Jesus of the Bible, I began getting answers I could not ignore. We walk through the messy middle of change: the moment I can pinpoint as the beginning (finding out I was pregnant in June 2023), the severe sickness that forced me to step back, and the surprising resistance I felt toward marketing, clients, and being public facing. I also share what it was like to pour myself into finishing an oracle deck postpartum while my priorities were radically shifting underneath me, and how that inner change showed up in everything I was creating. Then the story turns toward clarity and conviction. I find a church online that feels like sanity in an insane world, start volunteering, and eventually get baptized. I also wrestle with a question many people ask when leaving the New Age: can divination be “good” if your intentions are good? The more I seek, the more direct the Bible becomes, and the more I understand why spiritual freedom is not found in self worship but in Jesus Christ. If you are deconstructing New Age beliefs, questioning tarot culture, or just curious whether Christianity is actually true, listen through to the end and sit with the invitation. 123. All Religions Are NOT True (And Why That Matters More Than You Think)

“All religions are true” sounds like the kindest possible belief until you test it against reality. We sit with the uncomfortable parts of faith and ask a simple question with massive consequences: can truth be personal if different belief systems directly contradict each other about God, Jesus, sin, judgment, heaven, hell, and salvation? We talk through why Christians feel compelled to evangelize, not as a power move, but as an act of love that refuses to cheer someone toward spiritual ruin. Using everyday analogies like a cliff on the highway or a financial scam, we unpack why “affirming your truth” can become avoidance, and why Scripture treats truth as objective rather than customizable. We also look at universalism, the modern obsession with inclusion, and the cultural push to treat discomfort as harm. Then we go deeper into New Age spirituality and manifestation. If manifestation “works,” what does that actually prove and who is responding? We explore the idea that God is sovereign, not on-demand, and why spiritual experiences alone are a poor test for biblical truth. We close with what Jesus says about judgment, why the gospel is not works-based, and why the narrow gate is both challenging and life-giving. If you’ve felt torn between being loving and being honest, this conversation is for you. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s wrestling with “my truth,” and leave a review with your biggest question about universalism or objective truth. 122. Trust Over Control: Relearning Prayer After the New Age

If you’ve ever tried to “manifest” your way into safety, money, or control, you know the crash that comes when life refuses to cooperate. I’m Danielle Venables, and I’m unpacking a tension I’ve wrestled with deeply since leaving the New Age: how do we pray boldly without turning God into a vending machine? We talk about why manifestation culture trains us to treat spiritual power as a tool for comfort and self-serving desire, and why following Jesus flips that script into humility, trust, and surrender to God’s will. I walk through Matthew 7:7-11 (ask, seek, knock) and explain how pulling verses out of context can lead to a prosperity gospel mindset that sounds biblical but misses the heart of the gospel. Then we get practical with prayer. Psalm 55:22 and Philippians 4:6-7 show God inviting us to bring every burden, every request, and every fear with thanksgiving, not anxiety. James 4:2-3 challenges our motives and helps us spot when we’re asking for something that would actually pull us away from God. Finally, we sit with Jesus in Gethsemane and His honest prayer: “May this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as you will.” That is the roadmap for asking bravely, suffering faithfully, and trusting God’s promises even when the answer is not what we wanted. 121. I Wanted to Change My Husband… God Changed Me Instead

Marriage can feel like the first place pressure shows up when we start taking faith seriously. When I zoom out and remember marriage as God’s design from Genesis, a lot of the confusion clears: the fight is bigger than a bad week or an awkward disagreement. It’s also why “leave him” advice can sound tempting while quietly making everything worse. I share what I’m learning in my church life groups and why Christian community changes the kind of counsel we give and receive. Then I get personal about the strain that can come with a later-in-life conversion, especially when your husband isn’t on the same spiritual path. If you’ve ever felt that pull to preach, correct, or pressure, I unpack a different way to show up: 1 Peter 3 as a steady anchor, respectful conduct as a living testimony, and a posture that honors your spouse while still loving Jesus out loud. You’ll hear the four-part prayer rhythm I use to pray for my husband’s salvation without trying to control the outcome: surrendering him to God, asking for a softened heart, inviting God to put other believers in his path, and focusing on my own sanctification. I also walk through why praying Scripture like Proverbs 31 and Ephesians 5 gives real direction for Christian marriage, respect, and growth. If this encourages you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s carrying the same burden, and leave a review so more women can find it. 120. Jesus Rose from the Dead: Proof, Prophecy & Why Easter Matters

If you’ve ever wondered why Christians treat Easter like the hinge point of history, it comes down to one claim that can’t be watered down: Jesus Christ literally rose from the dead. I’m Danielle Venables, and I’m walking you through why the resurrection is not a poetic metaphor, not a “spiritual truth,” and not something we can casually set aside while keeping the label of Christianity. If Jesus didn’t rise, the faith collapses. If He did, the cross is not a defeat, it’s a victory over sin and death. We dig into the biblical case with clear Scripture, including 1 Corinthians 15 and Romans 1, then trace how Jesus predicted His resurrection again and again in the Gospels. From there, we connect the dots to fulfilled prophecy and patterns that point forward to Easter, including Psalm 16, Isaiah 53, and the “third day” sign Jesus links to Jonah. This isn’t presented as a late invention, but as a message embedded in the earliest Christian proclamation. Then we tackle the questions people actually ask: What about the empty tomb? What about claims of hallucination? What about the counter-argument that the disciples stole the body? We look at why even opposing explanations still admit the tomb was empty, and why the Gospels naming women as the first witnesses is a credibility marker in that culture, not a marketing strategy. We also talk about the post-resurrection appearances and the transformed disciples, including Paul the former persecutor, and why that kind of change demands an explanation. If this strengthens your faith or sparks new questions, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share this with a friend who’s skeptical, and leave a review so more people can find the conversation. What’s the biggest question you still have about the resurrection of Jesus?
