Raising the House

fouroakskillearn.com

In the days of yore, people would often invite their friends over for a barn or a house raising. They recognized that something as important as building a house was a job best done with the collective skill and wisdom of the community. You know, studying God's word is kind of like that. You see, in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus compares the word of God to a rock or a foundation that we are to build the houses of our lives on. So what we aim to do on this podcast, is to study God's word so that we can build or raise spiritual houses for our lives that are trustworthy, reliable, and true. Now, how do we do this? We take the scripture text for Sunday's upcoming message, and we head to the construction zone of biblical interpretation during the week together. Every Monday at 12 p.m.
