#067 Jacob Roulstone - The Back Story and The 2026 Season

JACOB ROULSTONE is first and foremost a motorcycle racer. In this episode, Jacob and Jorge discussed the back story behind his life which has been dominated by motorcycles and racing. He first rode a dirt bike at 3 years of age, and has gone on to become a flat track champion, junior road racing state title holder, a participant in the Asia Talent Cup, European Talent Cup, JuniorGP World Championship, Red Bull Rookies Cup, and racing around the world in Moto3 for KTM and Red Bull. Despite a year of set backs including broken neck and broken left hand in 2025, he showed his grit, determination and genuine talent by still finishing his season with a very respectable points tally. Jacob also talked about the 2026 season coming up, and his plan to race in two different championships, one in Australia and one in Europe. Listen to the podcast to find out more. MIKE JONES, (Mad Mike) from the Yamaha Racing Team, gives us his insights from Round 8 of the 2025 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK). This round was held at The Bend race track in South Australia, and brought a fantastic season to an end. The final results for the 2025 ASBK championship - 1st Josh Waters (381), 2nd Mike Jones (331), 3rd Ant West (303). We also spoke to Mike about ASBK plans for the 2026 season which will be a shortened 5 round series starting in February and ending in June 2026, followed by the new Summer Calendar for the 2027 championship starting in October 2026 and running through to April 2027. #063 April Ryan - East Coast Female Riders, Women in Motorcycling, Track Days and Rider Safety

APRIL RYAN is a go-getter. She is also a motorcycle enthusiast through and through and very active advocate of females in motorcycling. April founded the East Coast Female Riders, a Facebook group that has grown significantly since inception, and now has almost 10,000 members. She did this to create a "safe space" for female riders to go to, and connect with women who would positively support their motorcycling activities. She is accredited as a Level 2 Motorcycling Australia coach, the first woman to do so. She also founded her Track Start Training Company which is aimed at addressing not only the women’s issues in the sport, but the giant niche between road riders or nervous track riders and getting into racing/becoming a track day fiend. April sits on the board for Motorcycling Queensland, the State Controlling Body for Motorcycling Australia. She also sits on the sub-committee for Motorcycling Australia’s Women in Motorcycling.
