The Preaching Matters Podcast

I took a homiletics class from Dr Carr- one of my favorite classes.. Dr Carr is a preaching machine! This podcast has awesome content all over it.. it is tremendously helpful to me with being a biovocational pastor.. a podcast that helps preachers grow in their preaching.

Just started listening. Been through the first 5 episodes. Alan's personality makes it easy to listen. He is clear and concise in his coverage of preaching. It feels like I am back in college sitting in on a Homiletics class with a very good professor.

I have known brother Alan Carr for years. In the time that I have know him, brother Alan has given me excellent advice about preaching, doctrine, and life decisions. In fact, it was largely due to brother Carr’s advice that I decided to pursue further education for ministry. When I have been treated poorly in ministry, I have reached out to Dr. Carr. When a doctrinal question has been nagging me, I have picked his brain. When it comes time to hold a revival service, I often call him. Through the years, I have seen many preachers go into his homiletics class as loose cannons and come out as some of the best preachers that I know. Even though the Lord has blessed me to be able to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for my masters and doctorate degrees, I have still regretted that my work schedule has hindered me from attending Dr. Carr’s classes. Fortunately for both myself and other preachers of Jesus Christ, this distinguished professor of preaching is now making the material he has a Collected and arranged over a long career available to the world through this podcast. If you are reading this review, I sincerely hope that you will give this podcast a try and be blessed by Dr. Carr as I have been.

I love how he makes his information relatable to everyone! I really feel like he’s always prepared and ready to present his info!
