The Sarah Lawrence College Podcast

I’ve been a faithful listener of this podcast for a long time now and, if you're reading this, wholeheartedly recommend you become one, too! The wide range of topics, interests, scholarship, personal stories, and aspects of the College covered in the extensive library of interviews with students, faculty, staff, and alums keeps me coming back week after week. And there are fun surprises that mix it up as well, like a student intern guest host, the live format of the Faculty Spotlights, and appearances from the knowledgeable College Archivist. But as others have mentioned, what really makes this podcast is Tim's hosting. His care and openness with each guest shines through, and he takes the listeners with on his journey of learning about and connecting to each person the podcast touches. Keep doing what you're doing, SLC podcast!

Tim Kail is the perfect host for this show, because he’s so good at unobtrusively opening up space for people to talk about what interests them and what makes them interesting. From illuminated manuscripts to prison abolition to Spinoza, this podcast does a great job of giving people with specialized knowledge a chance to really dig in and talk about what matters to them in detail, and the results are always fascinating.

This is a great smart podcast, whether or not you have a connection to Sarah Lawrence College. I especially liked the time management episode!

I’m a parent of a student starting Fall ‘22. Tim is a fantastic host, has a calm and pleasant voice and is skilled at keeping the conversation going. After listening to the first few episodes, I feel confident about sending my kid to SLC. The podcast guests are intelligent, extremely nice, and provide clear and detailed information about the services offered at the Library. I am so impressed with the services and resources available at SLC. I highly recommend this podcast for any incoming student or any parent who wants to know more about the college.
