    The Borinqueneers - aka The 65th Infantry Regiment of the United States Army (Part 4: Korean War, Jan/Feb 1951)

    Send us a text The Borinqueneers were a kickass, all-Hispanic (mostly Puerto Rican) unit of the US Army. These servicemen and women served honorably and with distinction during World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.  Part Four covers their role in driving the Chinese and North Koreans out of South Korea after the Chinese New Year Offensive, including Operation Thunderbolt and Operation Killer. We highlight a few heroes, present the history of the Borinqueneers crest, and talk about the famous fixed bayonet charge of 2nd February 1951.  CONNECT WITH US!     The Borinqueneers - aka The 65th Infantry Regiment of the United States Army (Part 3: Korean War, 1950)

    Send us a text The Borinqueneers were a kickass, all-Hispanic (mostly Puerto Rican) unit of the US Army. These servicemen and women served honorably and with distinction during World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.  Part Three covers 1950, including Operation PORTREX, their entry into the Korean War, their heroism and victories on the battlefield despite obstacles that should not have been, their successful protection of the Marines' withdrawal from the Chosin Reservoir area, and their harrowing escape from North Korea on Christmas Eve.  Los Borinqueneers fueron una unidad durísima, completamente hispana (mayormente puertorriqueña) del Ejército de los Estados Unidos. Estos hombres y mujeres sirvieron con honor y distinción durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, la Segunda Guerra Mundial y la Guerra de Corea. La Parte Tres cubre el año 1950, incluyendo la Operación PORTREX, su entrada a la Guerra de Corea, su heroísmo y victorias en el campo de batalla a pesar de obstáculos que nunca debieron existir, su protección exitosa durante la retirada de los Marines del área del Embalse de Chosin, y su angustiosa huida de Corea del Norte en la víspera de Navidad.
