Closing out the year in excellence is a buzz. The practice of goal setting, at the onset of the new year, is also right around the corner and amidst the busyness that is life, seasonal depression is very real for many. Joy is often challenged in this season although it is season to be jolly. In this episode, special guest Celeste Charles discusses how to unearth (discover and investigate) joy amidst the juggle of life and motherhood. She shares abundant wisdom around the ramifications of displacing joy and how a true ownership of joy has a long-term influence on our ability to parent well. Celeste Charles wears a lot of different hats: entrepreneur, friend, executive administrator, wife, worship leader, creative, Christian, and last but certainly not least - mother.  She has two joyful boys, is a wife of ten plus years, and an executive administrator. After graduating from NYU in 2010 with a BS  in Communications Studies she  landed a position in healthcare administration which was the start of a 12+ year journey that has left her with a plethora of administrative experience in the fields of healthcare, tourism, entertainment, faith-based nonprofit as well as in event coordination & project management. It's STILL May season!  Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! Our mental health is important to God and should therefore be important to us. In this episode, we are accompanied by special guest, Jennifer Oliver, as she unpacks The Parent Growth Mindset, the type of mindset that acknowledges growth and evolution can happen, with God, regardless of our experiences and developed perspectives, over time, as individuals and parents. ⁣ Jennifer Oliver is a fifth grade lead teacher for Newport News Public Schools. A graduate of both Hampton University and Liberty University, Jen is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Psychology at Regent University.
