He has pastored Christian Life Austin since 1990 and has been in ministry for over 50 years serving as lead pastor in two churches previous to coming to Austin. Together their three girls have gifted Rex and Patti with nine precious grandchildren. They value family time and enjoy traveling together - yes, that includes all nine grandchildren, three daughters, their daughter's three husbands, a granddaughter-in-law, and Rex and Patti for their annual Johnson Family Vacation. Rex also enjoys attending sporting events, playing golf, watching movies, and spending time with his loved ones. Their ultimate joy is being part of this growing church and seeing lives transformed by the grace of God.
