The things we love the most give us the most trouble - A delightful conversation with author Neil Adams

Welcome back to the podcast, I’m Jamie Baynes. A few weeks ago, I received an email from a publicist (long-time listeners may have noticed that I often start my intros with this sentence) asking if I’d like to interview author Neil Adams. Neil, the publicist wrote,  had written his debut novel, From the Pile, A 9/11 First Responder Story, and would I be interested in interviewing him. Long-time listeners will also know my response: Absolutely, I would. So, here he is. I hope you enjoy our conversation. After you listen, let me know what you think of Neil. I can’t wait to have him back on. And not just because he’s one of the few guests who is older than me. His perspective on life and the best way to live it is exactly why I created this podcast. This crazy world needs more people like Neil, and I hope that his joy and zest for life inspire others to feel the same way he does. You can purchase his book here ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://www.amazon.com/PILE-9-11-First-RespondersA-Story-ebook/dp/B0FFBLV86Q/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3FZ4G5V6WT0TP&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.pgd7IQvMN8BJ_ddtL9DkxU5v14f71eqLxBDTgKSS0cfkLuONERjv358NRIE90Lg1rTcoAO8LRk3UAhmuIvAfJgUGnc04kpNOnzZthUpnfJ3qUMkUcwlhoYxwfraqYG_5TGCsRXOWkaUdy06J9QAqBtEoMYvi6TKqwBXb7d5omEsZOxxyn1cXESrBhaiIfrGO3UDoBkRnUiVPyEdmXcBtl8heOemP_-qqWJ9KNx3mhUU.yHxMN7qCav8EUReZwWbR84sJlGsDGHtJx2UrNpcCcK8&dib_tag=se&keywords=from+the+pile&qid=1776122061&sprefix=from+the+pile%2Caps%2C156&sr=8-1 You can check out his website here ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://www.readneiladams.com/ Follow him on Instagram: @novelneil45 Until next time, take care of one another, remove the roadblocks that are quelling your happiness, and as always, thanks for listening.

USAF Veteran, Special Agent and Author - A conversation with Derrick M. Jackson

Welcome back to the podcast, I’m Jamie Baynes. A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from a publicist asking if I’d like to interview an author who retired from the US Air Force as a Special agent. Let’s see, do I want to interview an author, a veteran AND a special agent? Yes, yes, and hell yes. So here he is. I hope you enjoy our conversation. After you listen, let me know what you think of Derrick. It blows my mind that despite not being an avid reader, he’s written two books and is working on a 3rd! He’s such a nice guy, too. Right when he answered the phone, I could tell by his voice that he was smiling and just enjoying life. The world needs a lot more people just like Derrick. It was an honor having him on as a guest, and I sure do hope he comes back. Follow Derrick on Instagram here: djakz27 And on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/SHADOW-ONE-DERRICK-JACKSON-ebook/dp/B0DFVNN3GD/ref=sr_1_1?crid=GOMK3E99A0OF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BFzBl3PD1jyIdSRKjSoEH2Sc2O2Qz9lIz3glgYkHfYwrtaFEY8kCkK7NaSKnxPR5vSTByALx-4kkspTsqm-JuE4CMP3-e0R5Kf6gaxY6lnShynC-UrwqoZSN5pelLHOv6pTHkZZH5QHc45aG805Wk9fvx-J5yFIyq7eZDu72GmNy0qvWdSkWEwf1x2c1CAZ_8jPglbXL6r4gDvv9yFBTRj55QRsVOUwVAcwvRtjLm44.6V0L9c0PPCCzSmsqObSSEqxOG4abEfEZXx_g7OU4qok&dib_tag=se&keywords=derrick+jackson&qid=1772148696&sprefix=%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-1 I hope you come back, too. A Fascinating conversation with Dr. David Woo, author of his debut novel, Merry-Go-Round Broke Down: A Novel of Guilt, Greed & Globalization.

Welcome back to the podcast, I’m Jamie Baynes. A few weeks ago, I got an email from a publicist asking if I’d like to interview Dr. David Woo, an economist, investment strategist, and former head of macro strategy at Bank of America. Oh, and he’d also just written a novel and lives in Israel. So was I interested? What I was was intimidated. I haven’t the slightest knowledge about economics or macro investments, though I am an avid reader. So I replied to her and told her that I’d absolutely be interested in talking to Dr. Woo, but to please let him know that my podcast is primarily about positivity and ask if he’d still like to be a guest. She replied that he sure would, and here he is.I hope you enjoy our conversation. After you listen, tell me what you think of Dr. Woo. Truth be told, before most of my episodes with new guests, I’m always a bit nervous making that call to connect with them for the interview. The nervousness was intensified with Dr. Woo because of my lack of knowledge about globalization, but within the first minute or so of the conversation, my nervousness disappeared because Dr. Woo is so friendly and down-to-earth. Plus, his novel sounds classically exciting, so I can’t wait to check it out. I’d like to thank Dr. Woo for taking the time out of his schedule to talk to me, and wish him the best of luck on his novel and any future Hollywood or Netflix deals that are just around the corner. Check out Dr. Woo's website here ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://www.davidwoounbound.com/ And his YouTube page here ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://www.youtube.com/c/davidwoounbound And, as always, I’d like to thank you for listening, and I hope you continue to do so. Until next time, take care of one another, and thanks for listening.
