    I begin today podcast with a NIL story that will have you wondering what these young athletes and reps are thinking about. I tell what Jaden Daniels issue was and why its ludicrous, that he had a leg to stand on.  Give my take on the latest Pre-season polls from the AFCA (Coaches) AP (the Media). You have to listen real close to what I have to say.  The Protect College sports act is still in the news. Will it ever get passed, let alone ever voted in the Senate. I discuss the reason why the bill did not get to the floor for a vote and WHO stopped it.  I finish show with 2 minor stories.     Arion Carter the Tennessee Defensive player is suspended for the 2 games. I explain to you how that works these days.  The Sec is still threating to separate from the NCAA. Is this possible. There are 2 do it and I try to inform you on this could be possible.  Stanford  football players have become the 1st to do something that will become the way of the land sooner than you think.  Ohio State and Notre Dame are getting a led up on the rest of D-1, with one very small change to their jerseys.  I finish the show with the latest on the Protect College sports Act.     Jaybee Low Tech Podcast A Salute to 14 w/ Scott Mayatas and Brehz

    I begin today's very special episode, a salute to 14 with some of my thoughts and stories of my time with the former head baseball coach at the U. of Minnesota for 42 years. Coach Anderson spent 50 years on the campus of the Minnesota. In his time there he was student Athlete, student Manager, Student Coach, Assistant Coach and finally the Head coach at the of 26. As the winning Coach in Gopher baseball and B1G baseball history. 14 cared more the people coached and tutored, than win and loses. The very honest was very loyal to those he came into contact with. You always knew were you stood with 14.    After returning from a commercial break, I was able catch up with Scott Mayatas former all B1G closer for the 2010 Gopher's regular season and tournament team. Scott was able to file in on how life is going  after college baseball. We moved on to his thoughts of his as a player under 14 and how it has shaped him til this day. Scott was able to drive home the fact, that were not just a student under 14. Scott talked about how he developed, socially, academically and lastly as a ball player. We talked about road trips, games and team meals. Scott credits Coach Anderson , for his development as husband and a father. I catch up with Brehz  who lucky enough to work as a student manager for 2 legendary Gopher coaches. First, Clem "the Gem" Haskins and then finishing up his college with Gopher Baseball under John Anderson. We chatted like two old former equipment managers would. We discussed what we learned, the trips, the players and how mentors like 14 and others readied us for the next 50 years of our lives. To work hard, to lead, be a good parent and give back.     Jaybees Low Tech Podcast, The SEC Talking Loud & Saying Nothing, W/Jay-Bee

    I start todays Pod with a TED talk on Coded race language. Two words that are different and are used differently by people when they talking about people of different races when they speak. You will never think the two words are the same or think the same after listening to me.  I passed a note on to well meaning family and friends about butting on others business matters. Take heed as it will help you be a better friend. After the commercial pause, I began the meat of todays pod. It start of by discussing the main theme of the SEC Media days. You can tell the hear them from miles away. U. of Michigan had a major announcement about the direction of it's athletic leadership. Rocky time always bring change, even when you are winning National titles. Find out what going on their campus and what lead to the decision for change. The Senate is still working on getting a bill on the floor and passed by the time they recess for elections. The save college sports act is going through very deep negations. Not only, with members of Congress, but with other parties involved in the process and that will have live with the outcomes of such legislation.     Jaybees Low Tech Podcast News & Notes BIGXII Conference and other hits W/JayBee

    I state off today's Pod with commentary on the language of Sports Media. They want us angry and hooked. Also, they way they describe athletes and mostly black athletes in inhumane terms. Whales, Weapons and Beast to name a few. The average then parrots what they hear and forget to look at the athletes as humans. Which makes it easy to mis-treat in print, online or a broadcast. The CSC(College Sports Commission) has released info on the 1st year of True NIL Tracking and the numbers are astronomical. The amount of dollars are mind blowing and only growing. Due to the lack of control by the People who were put in place to control the spending. LSU is making a major announcement this week and rumor is they will be the 1st in a big way to do something that schools and conferences have been careful about not doing. If they succeed in their efforts, this may cause other entities to join them in chase of the almighty dollar. Why are they willing to do so and what has lead them to this point. The BIG XII held it's Media day for the 2026-27 school year. As you may guess, the Brendon Sworsby was the point of interest. Find out what was said and not said, during their media days. The BIG XII did announce a conference wide sponsorship deal. This deal will change the look of  college uniforms and playing surfaces. The BIG XII was also, notified of more fallout involving the gambling QB at a different member institution stay. Deon Sanders gave a health status for the 2026 season and what is the BIG XII hoping for the 26-27 year. The NFL's rush to PAY-dirt may cause problems for the colleges as they all fight for more money, more-money and more money. How on the back end this could hurt their labor pool.     The NFL leadership had and response for Brendon Sworsby and none of saw it coming. The Shield did something that all sports leagues need to do. They sent a very message to Brendon Sworsby. NCAA and College Sports Commission are tire of being sued for more eligibility by the athletes. In some cases by some athletes who forfeited their eligibility to go pro early. I explain the new plan on eligibility and why it makes since to do so. NDSU and Sac State got some good news from the NCAA, the news was about a rule change and why it effect others who may want to make the leap from FCS to Big boy FBS football. Find out what 5 mil buys you these days. The hell of Spring football may be lessening the effect of jamming a lot in a short time. They will spreading out practices for serval reasons. I talk about how things were and how things may change for the better. The Senate save college sports bill , if passed. Will have some side effects that only a small group of people knew about. This side effect will have wide sweeping changes in changes in college sports. We knew about some things about the Save college sports act, but the fine print was not read well.     JayBee's Low Tech Podcast NCAA v. Local Judges w/Jaybee

    The court injunction favorable ruling on behave of a college player has many layers. That everyone is in favor of rule until they can't have what they want. The player in question betted on games he was dressed for. He betted on games that he inside info of. He betted on NFL games that would get him suspended or banned, if he played in the NFL. He knew he doing something illegal and set a plan to hide and only when he got busted, did he claim as gambling addiction.  The school he transfered to file an injunction on behave, because they need him to play and didn't want to seem negative to future recruits. Jeffery Kessler took his case and beat NCAA again, but is it him or it the real villain, the true corrupt people in college sports.  Clearly, the much needed ingredients of college sports are not important to these people who keep making ruling in favor of the school/athletes. The ruling smacks of corruption and the most of the one thing that we all must believe in for sports to magical.
