    The "Five" with Elle Sherlock

🎙️ FINDING BEAUTY IN THE DARKNESS — ELLE SHERLOCK JOINS DAWG & GUS! 🖤 Some artists make music to entertain. Others create entire worlds you can get lost in. Elle Sherlock is doing both. Originally from Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Elle is a Canadian dark-pop singer-songwriter whose music combines haunting vocals, industrial textures, trip-hop, jazz and alternative influences into something beautifully unconventional. In this episode of The Dawg and Gus Show, we explore Elle's musical journey, her approach to songwriting, and the creative influences that have helped shape her distinctive sound. We get into her singles The Edge, Tomorrow Problem and OMG A Leech!, along with the making of her upcoming debut solo album, recorded at Studio Cimetière in rural Quebec and scheduled for release November 27. We also explore the connection between vulnerability and strength, the balance between beauty and darkness, and what it means to create music without worrying about fitting into a particular genre. From the recording studio to the fight gym, Elle's world is full of fascinating contrasts. It's a conversation about creativity, individuality, ambition and the courage to embrace what makes you different. And naturally, Dawg and Gus manage to find a few laughs along the way. 🎧 Elle Sherlock on The Dawg and Gus Show. Turn down the lights. The "Five" with Charae Degrow

🎙️ CHASING THE DREAM — CHARAE DEGROW JOINS DAWG & GUS! Sometimes the biggest risk in life is staying on the path everyone expects you to follow. Charae Degrow knows that feeling. After earning a psychology degree and building a career in mental health, Charae decided to make a major change and pursue the passion she'd carried for years: music. Today, she's making her mark on Ottawa's music scene as a singer-songwriter, producer, sound engineer and founder of Rhythm With Rae. We explore her journey from going back to school at Algonquin College to working behind the scenes at major Ottawa music venues, developing her theatrical music project Dual Worlds, and building a business dedicated to making the audio industry more inclusive. Charae's work has earned her a nomination for Sound Engineer of the Year at the 2026 Capital Music Awards, but her story goes far beyond recognition. It's about taking chances, overcoming rejection, creating opportunities for others and finding the courage to build a life around what you love. We get into music, creativity, mental health, the challenges women face in the technical side of the industry, and why community matters just as much as talent. An inspiring conversation with someone who's helping shape the future of Ottawa music. 🎧 Charae Degrow on The Dawg and Gus Show. #CharaeDegrow #DawgAndGusShow #RhythmWithRae #OttawaMusic #CanadianMusic #MusicPodcast #SoundEngineering

    The "Five" with Bif Naked

🎙️ BIF NAKED joins The Dawg and Gus Show. There aren't many artists who have lived a story quite like hers. Bif Naked has gone from Canada's underground punk scene to platinum records and songs like “Spaceman,” “Moment of Weakness,” “Lucky” and “I Love Myself Today” — all while navigating a life filled with some extraordinary highs and incredibly difficult battles. Now, she's telling that story in a whole new way. We talk about the award-winning Bif Naked documentary, what it was like allowing cameras that deeply into her life, and seeing decades of memories — good and bad — played back on screen. Bif also tells us about an upcoming movie project, her continued love of acting and what's coming next creatively. Then there's the music. Her latest album CHAMPION marked her first full studio record in 15 years, and she's already continuing that momentum with new music including “Snowblinded” and her latest single, “Lift Me Up.” We get into all of it — music, movies, survival, cancer, positivity, getting older, relationships, creativity and why Bif Naked still approaches life with the same rebellious spirit that made Canada fall in love with her in the first place. And yes… there are plenty of laughs along the way. 🎧 Bif Naked on The Dawg and Gus Show. Turn it up. #BifNaked #DawgAndGusShow #Champion #LiftMeUp #CanadianRock #CanadianMusic #MusicPodcast

    The "Five" with Anna Lewis

🎙️ Pour the wine — Anna Lewis is hanging out with Dawg & Gus. 🍷 Calgary country singer-songwriter Anna Lewis joins us to talk music, songwriting, Nashville, relationships and what it really takes to build a career as an independent artist. Anna's country-pop sound draws inspiration from artists like Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris, but she's quickly creating a lane that's distinctly her own. We get into the story behind “Me, Myself & Wine,” having her music played on SiriusXM's Top of the Country, performing across Canada and Nashville, and her latest single “Love That's Easy.” That new track takes on modern dating from the opposite direction — instead of another heartbreak anthem, Anna wrote about believing that the right relationship can actually feel genuine, safe and… easy. We talk about where that idea came from, turning real life into songs, navigating the Canadian music industry and where she wants to take things next. 🎧 Get to know Anna Lewis on The Dawg and Gus Show. #AnnaLewis #DawgAndGusShow #LoveThatsEasy #CanadianCountry #CountryMusic #SingerSongwriter #CanadianPodcast

From the chaos and adrenaline of the Bluesfest photo pit to magazine covers, portraits and photographing some of the biggest names in music, Sean takes us behind the lens and shares what it's really like to make a career capturing moments that only happen once. But we also talk about the moment when everything changed. In 2023, Sean became critically ill with invasive Strep A and spent 15 weeks in hospital. He opens up about that experience, recovery, and returning to the people, music and photography he loves. It's a conversation about photography, music, survival, community and appreciating the moments we sometimes take for granted. 📸 This is Sean Sisk on The Dawg and Gus Show. #SeanSisk #DawgAndGusShow #OttawaMusic #ConcertPhotography #OttawaBluesfest #MusicPhotography #CanadianPodcast
