    259. How to Save Time, Reduce Mental Load & Lead Better with Dawn Andrews

Send us Fan Mail What if AI could help you do more than write social media posts? What if it could actually help you reduce your mental load, reclaim your time, make better decisions, and become a stronger CEO? In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, Angela sits down with Dawn Andrews, founder and CEO of Free Range Thinking, business strategist, executive leadership coach, speaker, and host of the She’s That Founder podcast. Dawn has spent more than two decades working with high-performing leaders who are exceptional at what they do—but often exhausted by how they’re doing it. Today, she helps female founders and leaders stop being the bottleneck in their businesses and create systems that allow them to grow without sacrificing themselves in the process. And increasingly, AI is becoming part of that solution. This conversation goes far beyond finding the perfect AI prompt. Angela and Dawn explore how busy mom entrepreneurs can use AI as a thought partner, strategic resource, and support system to take some of the invisible mental weight of entrepreneurship off their shoulders. 259. How Ashley Gross Helps Moms and Business Owners Reclaim Their Time & Automate Their Businesses

Send us Fan Mail What if AI didn't have to mean doing more—but could actually help you do less? In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I'm talking with Ashley Gross, Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, about how mom entrepreneurs can use AI as a partner to reclaim their time, reduce mental load, and create more space for the work—and people—that matter most. And if you don't consider yourself "techy," this conversation is especially for you. Ashley wasn't always an AI expert. In fact, she shares how becoming a mom and unexpectedly facing life without maternity leave pushed her to look for a better way to work. That search eventually led her to AI and a completely different approach to building systems in both business and life. We talk about moving beyond the all-or-nothing conversation around AI and instead asking a much more useful question: Where could AI make my life easier? Ashley shares practical examples you can start thinking about right away—from triaging your inbox and organizing your calendar to automating client onboarding, reducing family mental load, planning activities with your kids, and even making those never-ending family to-do lists easier to manage. In this episode, you'll learn: ✨ Why you don't need to be "technical" to start using AI ✨ How to identify repetitive and mentally draining tasks that could be automated ✨ Practical ways to use AI for your inbox, calendar, client onboarding, and weekly planning ✨ How Ashley uses AI in motherhood and family life—not just business ✨ Why AI should amplify what's already working instead of trying to fix a broken process ✨ How automation can reduce the cognitive load so many moms carry ✨ Why Ashley doesn't believe AI will eliminate the need for humans—and where the human experience still matters ✨ How to stop chasing every new AI tool and instead build a tech stack around the problems you actually need to solve One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that we don't get a medal for doing everything the hard way. AI doesn't have to replace your creativity, expertise, intuition, or relationships. Used intentionally, it can simply become another tool that helps you spend less time on the repetitive work and more time being the business owner—and mom—you want to be. About Ashley Gross Ashley Gross is the Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, where she helps businesses identify where and how to implement AI into their workflows so technology strengthens human capabilities rather than replacing them. Ashley is also the author of The AI Work Week and shares resources and education to help people approach AI in practical, strategic ways. 258. The Recipe for Building a Thriving Family Business Without Burnout with Sara and Vinnie Cann, Co-Founders of Birdie's Batch

Send us Fan Mail What does it really take to build a successful product-based business with family—and grow it without losing sight of why you started? In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I’m joined by Sara and Vinnie Cann, the mother-daughter co-founders of Birdie’s Batch, a family-run food business built around locally sourced ingredients, seasonal products, family recipes, and a whole lot of heart. Sara and Vinnie started Birdie’s Batch in 2020 after Sara was laid off from her career in the restaurant industry. What began as an opportunity to sell homemade products at local farmers markets grew into a loyal community, an online business, award-winning marmalades, and national recognition—including a feature in The New York Times that increased their sales by 264%. But what I especially loved about this conversation is that their story isn't simply about growing a business. It's about figuring out what kind of business—and life—you actually want to build. We talk about working together as mother and daughter, listening to your customers, overcoming the challenges of shipping food products, using storytelling to differentiate your brand, navigating motherhood while running a business, and why sustainable growth doesn't always mean doing more. Sara also opens up about how a major health challenge changed her relationship with work and helped her redefine success. Instead of continuing to push toward bigger numbers and a seven-day workweek, she began creating a business model that better supported her health, motherhood, and life. In this episode, we talk about: ✨ Turning family recipes into a product-based business ✨ Starting a food business from home without a huge investment ✨ Building a loyal customer base through farmers markets ✨ Listening to your customers to discover new products and opportunities ✨ Making a mother-daughter business partnership work ✨ Treating failures as data instead of reasons to quit ✨ Building around your actual capacity as a mom and entrepreneur ✨ Overcoming shipping and fulfillment challenges ✨ What happened when The New York Times featured Birdie’s Batch ✨ Using storytelling and community to build customer loyalty ✨ Why business growth doesn't always mean doing more ✨ Redefining success and creating a more sustainable business ✨ Starting before you have the perfect plan One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that growth doesn't necessarily mean doing more. Sometimes growth means figuring out what's already working, getting better at it, and letting go of what no longer supports the business or life you're trying to create. If you're a mom entrepreneur building a product-based business—or you've been sitting on an idea because you don't have everything figured out yet—I think you'll walk away from this conversation feeling encouraged to start where you are, stay flexible, and build success on your own terms.
