This episode takes a closer look at the growing question: Is the media reporting the entire story—or just the part that fits into the headline? We’ll discuss the horrific home invasion near Pittsburgh where Dr. Idris Evans was killed and his wife was seriously injured while they were sleeping. The suspect, Elijah Hemingway, was arrested and charged in connection with the attack. But as more information came out, so did details about his prior encounters with the criminal justice system—including a pending burglary case and previous arrests. (CBS News⁠) So why do some details make the first headline while other important facts emerge days later? Is it simply the nature of breaking news? Are news organizations waiting for verified information? Or does the way a story is presented sometimes leave viewers with an incomplete picture? We’re talking about how stories are reported, what gets left out, what eventually comes to light, and why you should always ask questions and look beyond the headline. He says Iran is willing to continue negotiations and that the U.S. ultimately has to decide whether the war ends. Meanwhile, Washington and Tehran obviously have a slightly different version of how we got here. 🇺🇸 JEN PSAKI'S 2021 PROMISE: We revisit Psaki's famous statement during the Afghanistan evacuation that she could “absolutely assure” Americans that nobody was entering the U.S. without thorough screening and background checks. The statement has resurfaced amid later controversy over the vetting of Afghan evacuees. We'll look at what she actually said—and what the subsequent debate has been about. 👩‍⚖️ OBAMA'S BIG EXPERIMENT: Barack Obama is once again talking about his hypothetical world where women run every government for a couple of years—and he says things would be better. So naturally, we're asking the important questions: What could possibly go wrong?     TRUMP TAKES GREENLAND… KICKS OUT THE MEDIA… WHAT’S NEXT?! 😂

    This week we're covering a little bit of EVERYTHING—because apparently the news decided it wasn't busy enough! 🇺🇸 TRUMP & GREENLAND: The U.S., Denmark and Greenland have reached an agreement expanding the American military presence on Greenland and restricting adversaries from establishing military bases there. Trump says the agreement gives the U.S. permanent access and security rights—and apparently Greenland has officially gone from “Why does America want us?” to “Well…welcome to the neighborhood!” 😂 📺 THE WHITE HOUSE VS. THE NEWS MEDIA: Trump announced that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be banned from White House access, citing what he called biased and false coverage. The outlets say they're challenging the restrictions, setting up yet another battle between the administration and the press. At this point, somebody might need to put a revolving door on the White House press room! 😂 🚨 THE AUSTIN METCALF CASE: A Missouri woman has been federally indicted after prosecutors alleged she sent death threats to Jeff Metcalf, Austin Metcalf's father, following the Karmelo Anthony trial. Authorities say the messages included threats to kill members of the family and put someone in a body bag. This story is a reminder that the online rhetoric surrounding high-profile cases can cross a very serious line.     🇺🇸 9/11: WE REMEMBER, WE HONOR, WE NEVER FORGET

    Twenty-five years later, September 11, 2001 remains a day none of us will ever forget. In this special episode of One More & I’m Outta Here, we take a look back at the 9/11 attacks—not just through the tragedy, but through some of the incredible stories of courage, sacrifice and compassion that followed. We talk about Paul Veneto, the retired flight attendant who is honoring the passengers and crews of the four hijacked flights by pushing an airline beverage cart more than 1,000 miles from Boston to New York. Talk about dedication—you'd think somebody would have let the guy upgrade to a motorized cart by now! We also remember the people of Gander, Newfoundland, who opened their homes, schools and hearts to thousands of stranded airline passengers after the attacks. Their kindness became one of the most remarkable stories to emerge from September 11. And then we get into the controversy surrounding this year's New York City memorial ceremony, including the debate over whether Mayor Zohran Mamdani should attend. Emotions surrounding 9/11 remain incredibly strong, and we'll talk about the reactions without losing sight of what the day is really about. And then we head to Ohio, where Amy Acton’s campaign stop at the Canfield Fair turned into chaos when an armed man allegedly charged toward the Democratic gubernatorial candidate and several people were injured.
