    Informed Not Scared — A Calm Conversation About Childhood Vaccines

    In this episode, Carrie Lee sits down with Dr. Nawab of the Bermuda Pediatric Centre for an honest, calm and judgment-free conversation about childhood vaccines. From what parents are actually saying in the office right now, to navigating the flood of conflicting information online, Dr. Nawab addresses the questions every hesitant parent is carrying — including the autism myth, what happens when children go unvaccinated, and what Bermuda's guidance looks like amid the noise coming out of the US. Essential listening for every parent who just wants to do right by their child.    Dr. Nawab is a pediatrician and partner of Bermuda Pediatric Centre. He was born in Ghana, West Africa and moved to Cuba where he did his secondary and high school education and graduated with a medical degree at the University of Havana Faculty of Medicine. After graduating from Cuba he worked in Dominica and St Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean and at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bermuda before going to further to specialize in Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric specialist training in a US Pediatric Accredited Program at the San Juan Municipal Hospital, Puerto Rico. He moved back to Bermuda in 2010 to work with Dr. Peter Perinchief at Edgewood for 15 years. He is experienced in both general pediatrics and neonatology. Dr. Nawab is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Nawab is currently the Chief of Pediatrics at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Chairman of the Bermuda Health Council. Dr. Nawab is fluent in Spanish.  Sponsored by Lindo's
